20/20 Rehash & Update - One More Scam Down The Drain! Don't Get Caught In Internet Hype...

Read More: Companies  |  MLM News

Have you ever heard of Angel Stevens?  Supposedly the #1 work at home consultant in America...  This may fall in the realm of "who cares?" by the time you hear the full story, but bottom line be aware that there are tons of scams on the web!

The rebate processing work from home opportunity has been offered by Angel Stevens for some time now. The program makes outrageous claims of up to fifteen dollars per rebate processed.

After reading her website people begin doing the math and figure that at that incredible pay rate they can make nearly a hundred dollars per hour. This seems unbelievable and it does so for a reason, because it is simply not reality.  In fact it’s a fairy tale!

If there truly were legitimate companies that provided you with rebate work the pay would probably be less than a dollar per rebate. However, rebate processing jobs don't exist and what you really pay for is a deceptively disguised internet marketing technique.

Angel Stevens puts out a plan for you that is completely different from what she advertises. She leads you to believe that companies are actually in need of somebody to process rebates for them.  Reality is the companies listed on her website have never heard of Angel Stevens or Process at home.

Fact is, she tells you to sign up with ClickBank, if you've been around internet marketing you’ll realize that it's a massive website hosting  products with affiliate programs. The biggest insult is that CB is free to join and simple to use without the necessity of a two hundred dollar course to teach you how.

Angela simply advises you to sign up for CB then start to advertise the products listed in their network. People make money by referring customers to their affiliate links, if a customer purchases, then the affiliate earns a commission of 10-50 percent of the sales price.

Hmmm... Sounds vaguely reminiscent of MLSP or a number of other similar programs supposedly designed to use the Law of Attraction to bring willing people into your primary marketing program, doesn't it?

I can honestly say, I stay away from ANY affiliate marketing programs altogether.  It's pure distraction stealing focus away from my primary business! (...and making me a fraction of what I could be making if I spent all my focus and energy on the long term success of my main business.)

Angel Stevens’ process at home system simply tells you to offer a portion of your commission as a customer rebate. So in reality you’re not really processing rebates as much as you’re simply enticing people to buy digital products at a discounted rate and you’re earning less commission per sale.

Another thing she doesn’t reveal until after you’ve purchased the program is that for people to see your rebate offer you’ll have to advertise. If you know much about internet marketing you know it means spending more money. You can buy pay per click ads advertising your rebate offer and you’ll have to pay money whenever your ad gets clicked.

This method can work and there’s internet marketers doing it, the big deception is that Angel Stevens markets the program as a work at home job. If she was upfront, there’d be no such thing as thousands of people calling it the Angel Stevens Scam.

There’s tons of complaints about process at home refunds. Most people who’ve requested  refunds report extreme difficulty  actually getting it. Were it a legitimate program there wouldn't be so many refunds in the first place.
The person portrayed as Angel Stevens on the internet in all reality doesn’t even exist.  You see the person Angel Stevens is make believe and the real person is an actress for hire, named Rebecca Flint, from the Live Face On Web site.

Additional faces shown alongside testimonials on the Process At Home website are also not real.  They're simply images purchased from the company iStock Photo, which in turn also means the testimonials are fake too.

So if it’s truly this easy to fake testimonials then you’ve got to become a critical thinker, do your research, and discover for yourself if what’s on the page is reality.  You can no longer blindly believe that just because it’s in print that it’s true.

With a 54 to 1 Scam Ratio for internet opportunities, you have got to know how to do your homework and be able to ID a scam before you simply jump right in and blow your money on something that is in reality, a deception.

The Angel Stevens Scam is essentially a bait and switch deception.

At the time of 20/20’s TV report the Process At Home website was receiving more than a million hits per month.

The good news...?  One less scam to worry about --- Now all that’s left at processathome.com is a letter of apology stating that they were a victim of copycat websites and that it’s no longer viable for them to market their opportunity, but that they will continue to service the full duration of any remaining memberships.

I feel so bad for them… 8>( ….NOT!

Get yourself educated and avoid the Big Lies that are found all over the web!

GREAT REPORT RANDY

I fell for this and wasted some time - really responding to what looked like a JOB....being paid to send rebates.  WHAT A TOTAL SCAM!!!

Actually, as Randy point out above, you are supposed to sell - whatever - and when people are disappointed then you get to refund their money..WHAT?!?!?

But you refund only a portion of what they paid, and thats how you get your 'commission'.

Made me sick to even think being a part of this kind of roberry.

Glad 20/20 did an expose.....but as Randay says, that is only the tip of the iceberg.

Especially with the current economic conditions and layoffs there are going to be lots of people seeking another source of income.  I feel sorry for them.

So always - as Mentoring for Free teaches, do your due diligence and check out a business before you get on board.

All the best to all of you
