There are no real secrets to finding a compensation plan or independent marketer. They are only secrets because you have not discovered them yet. When in reality, the "secrets" are all at your fingertips if you just hunt them down. Something I've learned is to research until research runs out...meaning, never give up on finding out the answers to your most burning questions because the information IS there.

Compensation Plan:
I've found many different products with many different pay plans, from door to door make-up sales to online travel and health sales and services. When looking at a product, look at the pay plan. Are the commissions worth your time and are the products time-consuming with inventory. I don't know about you, but my time is pretty scarce these days and I want to spend it doing things that are going to prosper my future and in a timely manner. If there are many products involved and you have the time to keep inventory, the product is something you take pride in, and the pay plan or commissions is big enough to keep you going, then keep on going. As for me, I'm looking for less product (less to keep track of and easier to tell people about yet of quality and desirable) and a pay plan that will be worth my time and effort. Less product + big pay out plan = less time and more of my dreams being full-filled.

Example: Sell 5 make-up items...$100 worth..cost to you is $25...you make $75 profit...now you restock your inventory. Not bad. But there are better income streams to venture on to.

Example: Sell 1 travel membership...$2995...Some (little advertising and some time) cost to you...you make $1000 profit. Now this, sounds really good. Which would you pick?

Independent Marketers:
Leadership is an extremely important factor on both sides of the fence. Finding a good sponsor who will guide and mentor you through the up and down days of marketing can be tough. Everyone is in the business for money, but there are a few leaders out there who see the big picture and help others achieve their own ultimate goals. Find an affiliate program that offers a residual compensation plan. Why? Leaders are more likely to help those on their team because their success depends on their team members' success. You can find all kinds of marketers online through various social networks. Read and watch what they have to say and how they say it. Then, determine whether they are someone you would want to team up with.

You:
To then be put in the leadership position is another story. As an affiliate, becoming a leader takes time and a lot of personal growth. Are you coachable and do you implement what you learn? Read, read, and read...and listen and implement. You can learn so much about yourself and others by reading and listening a lot. More knowledge and self-confidence equals silent income. Silent income meaning the money just starts coming in while your busy being concerned about others besides yourself. Are you willing to give up your past and the pain or sorrow that you have allowed to define you? Are you open to redefining who you are and becoming who God made you to be?

Affordable...depends on how high you set your goals. The higher the start, the higher the pay out (most of the time). You say you can't afford to affiliate now...I say you can't afford not to.
