4 Tips For New Network Marketers
If you’re new to network marketing, you’re probably wondering what on earth you’ve gotten yourself into. (If not, don’t worry, the feeling will hit you sooner or later.)
However, whatever you do, don’t panic! What you’re feeling is totally normal!
In fact, I remember the excitement I felt after making my initial investment and the joy of having found such a wonderful opportunity. Several days later, however, that excitement began to give way to a variety of emotions like fear, dread, insecurity, anxiety and buyer’s remorse. You may actually be in that place right now—and if so—be encouraged because things will get better.
Here are some simple tips that will enable you to adjust to your new network marketing career and enjoy your journey.
Tip #1- Don’t quit. There’s no way you’ll ever reach the dream that prompted you to engage in network marketing if you don’t stick it out and see it through. Swallow your fears and committ to making it work.
Tip # 2- Believe! Believe that network marketing really does work. You undoubtedly have been bombarded with messages from naysayers that have tried to convince you that all network marketing opportunities are schemes and scams. If you don’t believe that you’re engaged in a viable industry that can exceed your expectations—hang it up. You can’t possibly expect to convey to others that your opportunity is worthwhile if you don’t truly believe it yourself. Your lack of confidence will show and will make you look like a “loser” instead of a “leader” and no one wants to follow a “loser.”
Tip #3- Sell out. Become your own best customer. Regardless of how much money you invested in joining your specific opportunity—expect to become your own best customer.
I remember thinking, “Wait a minute, I just spent all of this money getting in the business and now they want me to actually buy the products, too? Good grief!” Well, if that’s where you are—get ready to get over it. Practically speaking, you can’t really expect to sell someone else products that you don’t use or don’t believe in! Imagine this scenario: Let’s say I’m marketing women’s beauty products and a potential customer asks me, “which rouge or foundation do you recommend?” My response is, “uh, well, they’re all nice, I guess. I mean, I don’t actually use that stuff personally.” What kind of a response do you think I’d get? Probably a variety of which I’d rather not share here, however, what I would not get is a sale.
Furthermore, if you can’t convince yourself to do business with you—why should anyone else?
Tip #4- Have faith in yourself. So often I see new network marketers who are full of potential and have the innerworkings to be fabulous in this industry, but allow their own self-doubt and insecurities to prevent them from progressing. The reality is that regardless of where you’ve come from and where you are currently—the only thing that can keep you from evolving into the person you want to be and heading in the direction that you want to go—is you. If you struggle with self-doubt, begin to starve your doubts and feed your self esteem by reading books and articles that will affirm and empower you.
If you commit to perservering, exuding confidence in the industry, your product, your opportunity and most importantly, yourself, you’ll position yourself to win in network marketing and in life!

You got that right!
Thanks for sharing this post Yolanda. As a newbie who also believes I am on a journey and loving it, I know what you mean when you say; "Never quit". I think that is one of the first instinctual responses we as humans have when faced with fear. Fear can have such a decisive grip on us and we impulsively decide to jump ship.
As network marketers, I believe we have a choice; either get and learn the tools that will move us forward and towards our goals OR start kicking like heck and hope we can stay afloat!
Thanks for offering a life preserver,
Claudia
