A DIFFERENT ANGLE
Success is crazy are you ready for it?
When you become successful and you have made some good decisions, you tend to believe that your own perspective on life is it. You no longer challenge yourself or your own opinion. You start to believe you are right and everyone else is wrong. You begin to surround yourself with people that will agree with any and everything you have to say. An entourage of “yes men” all over the place. Many popular musicians and actors have “yes men” hanging around them all the time.
You, now being so full of yourself and your success, begin to lose sight of what got you here. The people around you laugh at all your jokes, you are the life of the party and your phone won’t stop ringing. You have what seems to elude everyone else so they will just hang around you hoping that some of that power and money will just rub off on them (or you might slide them a few bucks).
They’re all on that power trip with you so they cling onto you whatever you have to say. You feel that sense of money, power and respect from everyone and the feeling is addictive and intoxicating.
But you must be careful with this addiction. While everyone is agreeing with you, and your perspective, you need to also consider those that have different perspectives and may disagree with you. You will want to surround yourself with others that have achieved just as much as you and others that you secretly have respect for. Your competition, even your haters would be a good place to start. They are the ones that would usually challenge you, your opinions and your perspective.
Your own perspective is very important. It enables you to make sense of
the world. But yours is not the only perspective and if you surround yourself with everyone that held the exact same opinion on every subject, then your knowledge and wisdom would become useless, stagnant, and outdated.
You and your perspective will grow stronger and more useful when you
regularly allow it to be challenged. Don’t shy away from asking for different opinions, or considering a different perspective. Of course, you will get those that disagree with you. That’s OK. You can agree to disagree. When people respectfully agree to disagree, everyone benefits from the diversity of opinions.
To live a life of continued success and fulfillment don’t think that you are the one all be all. To make real progress in life you must let go of the assumption that you already have all the answers even if you do.
Stay true to yourself and the values you treasure. Always consider
the different perspectives and opinions of others. Forever challenge yourself and never stop looking at life from a different angle.

Thank you
Thanks for the reminder that as we get successful not to get full of ourselves and feel that our opinion and even our methods are always going to be the best. An inflated ego will eventually destroy. No matter how successful you are, you can learn from others. Some of the best teachers are the elderly and even children.
