A little secret about life

Serenity is the accepting of what is.

One of the many lessons I have learned in my life is that your current situation will never change until you accept what is. When you accept what is and are greatful for what you have, you release all the negative energy that is keeping you stuck in your current situation.

Examples: When I accepted my marriage to my ex and became greatful for the experence. He suddenly became my ex and the universe blessed me with a new and more rewarding relationship.

When my 6week baby girl became ill with Spinal Muscluar Atrophy and I was told she was going to die, I defide the doctors, God, anyone who would take her away from me.  For two years I refussed to acept the fact their was no cure and I fought like nobody has fought before. "We would show them", I told myself. Anything is possiable right! That is what I had been taught all my life. If I believed enough God had to heal her.

Well it wasn't until the last month of her life that I finally figured it out. Unforuantly it was two million dollars later, two years without sleep, an extra twenty pounds of stress and a lot of tears. Not to mention all the pain that she and I both endured. My little girl was sick and my job wasn't to fix her but to accept it and make the best of it. Be greatful for the time I had with her.

So for the last month of her life I thanked God for giving me such a beautiful treasure and thanked my little angel for sacrficing her life so that I could learn what I needed to know. I still remember how sweet her skin smelt, and how her large eyes looked up at me above her bye-pap. Heavens she was beautiful. Then she was gone... and she gave way to a new healthy baby sister six weeks later.

The same princaple applies to all aspects of life. If you hate your life right now, if it is too much and you about to explode. Step back and accept it. If you are not afraid of it. It can't hurt you. Let go of your resentment. Thank God for the experence, embrace it, and welcome the blessings that the universe will send your way.If you want to be rich, be greatful for what you have now.

The truth is God sends you what you want everyday. You are just to busy foccusing on not having that you can't see it.

That was very dear of you to

That was very dear of you to share your experience with all of us . I myself have lost a child years ago and do believe all we experience throughout life is a learning experience. I try my best to see the lesson to be learned in everything, this is not always easy because we become blindsighted by what we want out of the experience rather than what GOD has for us.

Acceptance is the Key

Thanks for sharing that Natalie!

I always thought there could be nothing worse i life than losing a child, and I see strong examples like you who experience that, and keep on going and moving forward.

I've been through alot too in the past few years, the last loss almost took me down for the count, but when I see what others are going through, I know its my purpose to be the best I can, and serve God as best I can through my work! I know that I really don't have any problems here...

One never knows how strong we are until tested, and with out the wind, the oak would be weak at its foundation. The knife wouldn't cut if not continually ground to a fine edge.

God Bless you and its a privilage to know you, and count you as a friend Natalie!

Power of Now

Thank you for sharing something so close to your heart.

Even with such a challenging situation, you showed tremendous insight.

It's true that in EACH moment we make a choice as to how we respond.  One moment at a time.

Acceptance and gratefulness are powerful choices.
