Accountability Coach...Is There Any Value In Having One?
Accountability Coach. Is There Value In It?
Why do we need an accountability coach? I can sum that question up with a very short answer, “What is easy to do is also easy not to do.” I honestly don’t know who coined that term but it so simple yet so powerful at the same time.
Think about it for a minute and read it once again. Makes a lot of sense doesn't it?
Think how easy it is to make posts on forums or start a new idea. Yet how many simply surf around and do not add value. That is why we are here people, to add valuable content.
How easy is it to exercise every day? It is very easy to get your heart rate up for 30 minutes. Thirty minutes and you will feel so much better. Even if you only have time to take a break and do sets of push ups, crunches and jumping jacks, it does not matter and your body will thank you.
How easy is it to read for 30 minutes every day? Very easy to pick up a book and find a quiet place to sit and read. Get up 30 minutes earlier each day and start the day off properly with positive thoughts and focus. Take a book with you where ever you go. It is incredible the amount of time we waste in a subway, passenger seat in a vehicle, waiting in lines, gossiping at work on breaks. Why not take a book with you and fill your mind with great ideas as opposed to wasting time. Just think about the amount of personal development you can receive over the course of a month, 6 months, a year!
The practices listed above are all easy to do but at the same time very easy not to do.
That is where an accountability coach comes into play. Set up a daily meeting time and simply make yourself accountable. It is so easy to say to yourself, "okay I need to exercise, read or write." But if you have to be held accountable to someone else it is much more difficult to let things slide.
This individual in some cases will be a leader in your business or they may be someone that you are simply attracted to because you find value in what they have to offer.
On the other hand, they could be in a completely different company and in a completely different industry. I personally have an accountability coach and we are in different companies and I can only speak for myself but it is proving to be a very powerful experience. I am confident that my accountability coach feels that same way.
So, get out there and talk to people in your business that you can learn from or look around your particular industry and learn of what others have to offer.
Make it a great day

Right on!
Steve,
I totally agree with you 110%. One of my posts in the forum is exactly about this topic. I am one of those people that always carries a book with me in my purse. I cannot just sit somewhere & not do anything & just waste time. In the rare occassions that I have forgotten my book I have almost went crazy... I'm glad there's a cell phone for those times & I have used it to text lol
