Against All Odds
If over 95% of wannabe Internet Marketers fail, then how on earth are you going to become one of the few that actually succeeds?
What is it I wonder that allows some people to succeed while others continue failing. The odds are the same for all of us. We all have access to the same world wide web, which means we all have access to the same people, the same opportunities, the same training.
So how come some of us beat the odds? What do the mega successful people know that the rest of us don't?
I've given this a lot of thought lately because I believe we all come into this equal. And not only internet marketing, but whatever sphere of life or business you choose for yourself, how do you beat the odds to become the top of your chosen profession?
I've decided it's looking at what odds are in your favour and using them to your advantage.
Maybe you're more persistent than other folks, maybe you're more stubborn, maybe you're more hungry for it. Whatever it is that works for you, use it.
Personally, I'm too much of an egotist to admit defeat. I work on the belief that if someone else can do something, so can I. I may need the training to give me the knowledge but other than that what does someone else have that I don't?
I don't believe for a second that Mike Dillard is any cleverer than me. I think he just was too stubborn to admit defeat. And it paid off.
I don't think for a second that I am any cleverer than anyone else. But I am not a failure. Whatever I cannot do today, I will learn so I can do it tomorrow or the next day. But I will learn it!
The odds of becoming successful online are slim. So what? That just means you have to try that bit harder to reduce those odds to a level where your chances of success are a bit better. You do the same tomorrow and the day after that and the day after that.
Eventually, those odds are going to start stacking up in your favour. If you continue to learn, continue to apply your new found knowledge, your odds of success increase.
Personally, I'd rather succeed. Wouldn't you?
And no matter what the odds are against me, I have a lot more that are 'for' me.
So get out there and start rearranging those statistics.
