These are sad things that have happened to so many and their livelihoods were shattered. People sometimes know their in a shady business and then continue to promote it because they have already invested so much into that company. It is awful.

RIGHT ON MELINDA!!! It is sad that a few bad apples have to keep feeding the age old reputation of networking just by bad business practice and greed. FIND a REAL company...with true products, a simple system to follow, documented success and lucrative comp plans! They do exist and they do offer all that people hope for without having to sacrifice their integrity to make a true, real income!

This is something that I feel like shouting from the rooftops! I agree 100%, it use to be watch out for the unscrupulious home improvement guy, now the internet seems to have become the haven for teh bottom feeders. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot go great people out there but, we don't deem to hear from them near as much as we do the snake oil salesmen.
If you are a company that is honest and above board, and have a good product, then get your information out there and let the market decide if it is as good as you say. If you belong to a company that cannot stand the test of the 5 pillars, then get out of it and find a good one.

Read your contract!
Most people don't understand how important this is.
At a regular job, you are protected by law.
In Network Marketing the only law that protects you is You.
Read you contract, and look for words like :
''termination'', ''ongoing training'' and ''ongoing selling''.
If you find them you might want to think twice before joining.

Isn't it sad to think of how many people MISS OUT on great opportunities because they develop a FEAR overtime because of some of the unscrupulous ones? And isn't it amazing that somehow AWESOME people, with good intentions and true potential find those guys first? Why because they are good marketers! Here's a thought everyone....We have betternetworker to join forces right? Any ideas on how to get the word out? RIGHT!! Get them to this type of environment FIRST, Give them something of VALUE (Magnetic Sponsoring), establish your leadership...if you build it they will come...and the more they are exposed to people like us....the reputation will change...for the whole industry!! Start creating those original articles (please, please, please no more copy and paste of other people's work---that's cheesey!), get them posted and let's show people what we are really all about in this industry!
