AN IDEA WHOSE TIME HAS COME

THE VALUE OF SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

In reading this chapter last night, before bed, as recommended, I was bereft of any inspiration.  I have always maintained that I have little ability to visualize - other than what is right in front of me.  I despaired of being able to find something very timely and useful to our society today.  As I read N. Hill’s words, I was struck again and again between the similarity of the times he was writing in and what we are experiencing today.  Severe economic downturn/re-organization and wealth re-allocation all the conditions that gave rise to so many well known fortunes.  Times of great challenge are most frequently times of great innovations, creations and re-births.  I think it was Frank Lloyd Wright who said something about man being most creative when most challenged (poor paraphrase).

Anyway - this morning, coming to life, I could not resist the urge to click on the TV.  I KNOW I promised to do this 30-day mental cleanse....but heck its over 30-days now and I’m an old, very habituated news-junky.....goes back over 40 yrs.  That’s how I start my day.  It’s a difficult habit to kick cold turkey.

But Praise the Lord!!  I was just in time to catch a CBC announcement of a new series on the Great Traits of Champions.  YES!!  Exactly Napoleon Hill’s teachings today, here & now!!!
Mark Tewksbury is best known as a gold-medal-winning Olympic swimmer. His remarkable sixteen-year athletic career included three Olympic medals, numerous world records, and inductions into three major halls of fame: the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame, the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame, and the International Swimming Hall of Fame.

Although retired as an athlete, Tewksbury remains a highly respected public figure. He has written a book (I think - I was too busy scrambling for pad & pen) or a video series or something along the lines of the kind of training that Olympic champions go thru to make the podium.
Begins tomorrow!!  So I have all of today to tweet about this and spread the word and rejoice over being part of the great universal energy that can control & direct our actions when we remain attuned and receptive to its leading.  God is soooo good!!  And He’s on my team!!
(Probably yours too...don’t mean to ‘own’ Him). LOL

So - straight out of bed (well after feeding the critters as they insist on being job 1!) I connected with the CBC - found another great news item about the combination of animal rescue & people matching in Ontario and let them know how hungry the world is for this kind of programming.

So here is my plan for the next
- however many days or weeks this goes on.  I will be the reporter about this series to all the 1800 followers I now have on Twitter as well as Facebook & My Space.  I had to smile when N. Hill was taking about the very innovative woman who made up a sales application package for her son.  Wouldn’t he just freak over the tools we have today!!!  We are so very fortunate to be alive at this time and in the place.  Safe, comfortable, healthy and motivated to work on being the best we can be!!  Can the world hold more??

I am still reading Ch. 4 on Auto suggestion every night.  That is  an area I need to really address for the success I want.

Again thanks to the whole Mentoring for Free for the program, the people, the ideas and the generous donation of time.  I love you all.

All the best everyone

Napolean Hill

Great motivational  author, read so many of his books,  when I get back to one of them I find remarkably new inspirational thoughts woven into the fabric of his words that stimulates me to push harder.

Look forward to your next blog.
