An Incredible Example of Attraction
The unwritten rule is that politics and religion are best kept for those specific fora. However, I'm going to touch on one of those areas without proselytizing or promoting anything. I just want to put in words a thought that came into my head as it relates to all that I'm learning.
I was listening to the sermon this morning as my attention span was drifting in and out (nothing new there). But, during the sermon, something was said that caused me to drift back in, so to
speak. It was said about 'how Jesus cured the leper, then told the leper not to tell anyone
because He didn't want to focus on the physical healing, He wanted to focus on the spiritual. Well, of course, the cured leper told everyone. After that, Jesus was mobbed
with people following him. Everyone wanted to see him. It got so bad that Jesus had to
hide sometimes to get away from them.'
I thought, wow!. He really created attraction. Why? He helped someone; He solved a
problem. And, He was able to do something that no one else could do. People are naturally attracted to someon who can do that.
There's another element here though. As I'm currently reading a copy of Social Media
Marketing, it reminded me of the "social buzz" that apparently occured around that life changing event.
This is just an incredible example of attraction. Now, I've heard that story told many
times, but, because of all I'm reading and learning about attraction and marketing, there's an
entirely new aspect to it.

Michael Jordan
Think about basketball. Michael Jordan did not want to only win. He wanted to embarrass the other team. There were people who were more talented than him, but they did not put their heart into it. He was a team player, he wanted the team to win. Of course he scored more points than any other player, however he played defense also because he did not want to let a man beat him on the other team. There is a saying that defense wins ball games. That contributed the Bulls to win the championships every single year. There was this song "Proud to Be Like Mike". All that attracted other folks to step up their skills amateur and professional to step up their skills to help them become champions too.
Similar Examples of Attraction
During my days in Young Judaea the peer lead zionist movement. There was leadership going on. The people who were the leaders were the most popular peers. They used to create activity. One of them created an activity on prayer. Everyones opinion on it was very personal. People loved hearing the benefits on how it can relieve stress.
In college it used to be the RA's the Resident Assistant. Ladies are attracted to leaders who are social proof. They want men to lead them. RA's were the most knowlegeable people in creating the activites what the other students should have, like manhunt, scrabble etc. Those are the real players who you want to have on your team.

Good Analogy Tony
In Jesus's case it became a hinderance of sorts as you mentioned with him having to hide out awhile. We on the other hand would love to get that kind of following. That's what this biz is all about. Sharing ideas and knowledge through insightful articles like yours has helped me. Thank you.
