Ann Sieg & Mike Dillard- Are These Opportunists Or Renegade Network Marketers?
I discovered Mike Dillard And Ann Sieg on The Internet and I am not sure how. I found myself watching old smooth talking Mike on a video. The next thing I knew I was signing up for his members only website. The same day, I found myself reading Ann Sieg's sales letter for her ebook, "The Renegade Network Marketer."The next thing I knew I was reading it! Talk about getting caught in a "web" of content!
They Have An Appealing Message For Internet Network Marketers
Both Mike and Ann are veterans of the network marketing industry. According to them, they both struggled to succeed, particularly when they first started. The reason they struggled involved an inability to succeed using "old school" mlm marketing methods. These methods include calling leads, trying to recruit friends and family, the "3 foot rule", etc. etc. These methods are ineffective because many of these people are not prospects for an mlm business. Trying to recruit them is essentially a waste of time leads to constant rejection. In network marketing, constant rejection correlates to high attrition. VOILA! Along comes Ann Sieg and Mike Dillard with the audacity to suggest that one should only try and recruit people who want to be recruited. What a concept.
Attraction Marketing And Web 2.0- What Is The Connection?
Actually, with attraction marketing, this method of permission based recruitment is taken one step further. Both Magnetic Sponsoring And The Renegade System train students to leverage the power of marketing on the Internet to attract prospects to their businesses.. Involvement with social networking sites is a key component of attraction marketing. The ability to "socialize" on sites such as Facebook and MySpace, allow network marketers to, well.... network!
Who Is Eben Pagan?
Eben is an Internet marketing "guru", with an Internet empire that raked in a cool 20 million last year! To chat personally with Eben for an hour will set you back 5 grand! Eban's courses and products are highly respected, and he charges accordingly. The monthly charge for his "Guru Mastermind" program is either 497.00 or 997.00 a month! Part of Eben's teachings revolve around creating a "brand" on the Internet for your business. A "brand" consists of the features and qualities of your personality or business model, that setl you apart from the competition. Creating a slogan for a business can help with the branding process.
So What Do Ann Sieg, Mike Dillard, & Eben Pagan Have In Common?
If you guessed that Mike Dillard and Ann Sieg are students of Eben Pagan, you win!
The growth of the Web 2.0 community was a fantastic opportunity to create a "brand" of more "social" network marketing. And to create controversy with a book called "The Renegade Network Marketer", generated great interest all across the mlm world! Controversy is one of the most effective means of creating "word of mouth" advertising. In this case, it is actually "word" of computer advertising, and it has a viral effect across the Net.
In Conclusion....
An opportunist is somebody who recognizes an opportunity and takes advantage of it. Mike Dillard and Ann Sieg certainly fit that definition. At this point, it might be more accurate to call them Internet marketers, as opposed to network marketers. I am not sure how much involvement both have in network marketing opportunities. Mike is involved with the mlm company, "Carbon Copy Pro."

To the opportunist in us all!
Mike,
Thanks for the very informative article. We all are some type of opportunist - and that is a good thing. Thank God for people like Ann Seig and Mike Dillard! And you for sharing.
Jo Anne Fogarty
I have them Both
sometimes i cant figure out which one to follow they both so very intensive and good
My 2 Cents...
Hey Mike, interesting article so I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents which is primarily this...
Both Ann and I wrote our books and created our marketing systems BEFORE Eben Pagan came onto the scene. MS was written in 2004-2005, well before Eben, Facebook, or the rest of the Web 2.0 phenom existed. I had no idea who he was until about 18 months ago.
Second, I do have a downline. In fact I'm the #2 distributor in my company and have personally sponosored 4 of the top 5 earners.
So as for the "opportunist" label, I don't agree with you.
Mike Dillard
Thanks, Mike!
Thanks for your comment. You are an extremely bright, very articulate, example of somebody who spots a trend, and takes advantage of it. Does that mean that you eat raw meat and hide little infants in closets? No, you are just a good businessman with a good autoresponder. At the end of the day, attraction marketing has been "berry, berry" good to you!
Hi JoAnne!
Nothing wrong with being an opportunist, it just depends on how you handle/exploit the opportunity. Thanks for your comment!
Hi Joe!
They are both wonderful leaders to follow! Just pay heed to their teachings and you can't go wrong!
Opportunist
Well Mike H.,
I would guess you have gotten several points registered for posting your comments on this article, not bad for an opportunist. I guess i'll just take my 5 as well.....
Opportunist
I agree with Joanne F. We're all opportunists seeking to take control of our lives and minding our own businesses. Not a bad thing to do at all. Also, since we're increasing our financial intelligence we won't necessarily make bad decisions. That's a good thing for everyone.
