If you are wondering what is a D.D., then here it is – Desperate Distributor. What I see Networkers do the most to kill their chances of building a real network.

 

When you build a network, You must learn to lead from the very beginning. All Leaders have followers and you will not have those followers if you are desperate. If you think back to High School, who had the following, and who did not. The self assured were followed and the clinging, desperate boys or girls had none.

 

Do you think it has changed? We always teach in our new distributors that you cannot lead people if you need people. Leading people starts at your very first contact with them. How you present yourself matters to your success.

 

How do you know if your a Desperate Distributor?

  1. Do you need your Upline to build your network?

  2. Have you been with your Company more than a month yet still cannot clearly explain the plan to a prospect?

  3. Do you worry if one of your key people want to leave your Downline?

  4. Are you unwilling to learn how to talk to others, always expecting others to do this for you?

     

If your Upline changed from your company to another. Could you stand on your own? If not, your Upline owns your business. And you can loose it anytime they choose to do something different. And it is not their fault you have not learned the skills you need to stand on your own. It's yours.

 

If you ever have the feeling that your business will suffer long term or even fail, from one or a group of distributors leaving, you are not at the level you need to be. We train our team to “own their own business”. Sure we are to work as a team, but never forget that if you want to make it in this business you must lead.

 

One of the best ways to develop this is start now to do what your leaders do. If it is training new people, start there. Even if your in business for a couple of months you should know more than a distributor just starting. Speak, in front of people or online.

 

Maybe you can start like I did, just being the M.C. for the functions. Give product or business testimonies. In short, get involved in little ways and work up. You will never be a big shot until you are a little shot. You will be no shot at all if you do not take the action today.

 

ACTION – Make a list of goals to become a true leader to run a successful business. Write out where are you now. Where you want to be in 3,6,9 and 12 months. What do you need to DO to get there. What do you need to LEARN to get there. Who do you need to MENTOR/ counsel with to get there. And who will hold you ACCOUNTABLE to hit your targets.

 

Finally what REWARDS will you get once you achieve your new leadership role? New car, trip, donation to a worthy ministry, help your parents or children.

 

And WHO will you teach in your organization to do the same?

 

You cannot lead people if you need people and own your own business.

I am a D . D.

Not because of my downline. I learned you can lead a long time ago you can lead a horse to water but you csn not make him drink. What in the past made me a D.D. was the money I spent on worthless leads. That is why I'm in MS and BN.
