Are you running? Why So Few Make It To The Top...

Here we are in the middle of January, 2008...you've said this is going to be "your year".
"No more excuses. No more distractions. No more getting "off course" or allowing ANYTHING to get in my way."
You've probably said a lot more to yourself than that. You've maderesolutions, promises. Probably even commitments to others.
You're excited. And you should be. Or should you?
You see, you're not the only one.
Many, many others have made those same declarations. Those samecommitments. Those same resolutions, and unfortunately many of themwill fail. Many others will fall short. And only select few will see theirdreams realized.
Why is that?
Do they just not "want it" badly enough?" Do they not mean whatthey said? Maybe they lacked a "plan" to get there?
Perhaps.
All of those CAN contribute to failure.
But what about all the people who really DO mean it. The ones whoreally DO want it. What about all the people who DO have a plan?
Why will so many of them fail (or fall desperately short) in 2008?And more importantly, what can you do to insure you're amongthe casualties?
The answer can be found in this short proverb:
everyday in Africa a gazelle wakes upit knows it must run faster then the fastest lion or it will be killed
everyday the lion wakes up, it knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death
it does not matter wether you a gazelle or a lionwhen the sun comes up...
you had better start running
WOW! Isn't that powerful?
Let me tell you, when I read that poem, I don't just"see it". I can FEEL it.
It's exhilarating.
Let me ask you: are YOU running?
Success comes to those who take consistent, DAILY actionin their business.
You have to get beyond wanting it. Beyond "visualizing it."Beyond "trying it", and "planning for it." You've have to DO IT.And you have do it every day! Do something EVERY single dayto grow your business. But not just “anything”.
You have to TALK to people about your business... DAILY.
If you walk, you can talk to one or two people a day. - not good enough. If you "jog", you can talk to five or six people a day - still not enough.
If you want to make it to the top... you've gotta "run." Talk to 10 ormore people per day. Every day.
Don't make excuses. There are no excuses for those whotruly want it. Just take action. Talk to 10 people a day aboutyour business, every day, and watch what happens.
You want to win the game? Run, Forest, Run!
