Writing articles for lead generation is one of the best ways to market online. At least that's what you've been hearing. But, What Do You Write About?

When you are new to the idea of attracting marketing you're not used to having to "give value". Writing articles is a foreign concept for you and you don't know what to write about or what makes a good article.

It's easy to start feeling overwhelmed because you have to learn about headlines, content topics, copywriting and keywords searches, SEO and resource boxes....

If you are reading this article, you didn't just click on it because the headline caught your attention. You clicked on it because you recently started with your online marketing for your business... and you haven't quite got all the details ironed out yet on exactly what this article writing stuff is all about.

You are thinking about or may have just started writing articles your self and you are looking for some guidance about how to do it as a newbie, yet still brand you as a leader to your potential prospects AND not seem like a dork. (That or you're just being curious :-))

Either way, it's easy to get confused about what's important while wring articles. How do I know? No, I'm not psychic or anything, Just a few short months ago that was me! Then one day it dawned on me... I simply walk my talk.

Just think about who you're talking to, then discover the things they want to know about. Once you've got that you can write articles. For example, If you are marketing an online travel agent business articles every from the airport with the best coffee shop to how to pack light on long trips who be of interest to your target market.

If you are looking to recruit credit repair consultants for your team, article about how to start your own credit repair business from home or why the need for credit repair consulting is more important now than ever. Allow yourself to get creative don't limit your imagination to what's on the boring replicate site you may have gotten with your company website.

Catchy Headlines Get the Click!

Travel Example: Tired of Over Packing? How to Pack For a Week Vacation In One Suit Case... Credit Repair Example: Get Out of Debt Helping Others to Get Out Of Debt... Think if it more of an editorial style of writing. You are providing objective, value packed content first them your resource box is where readers who want more can contact you.

How To Pimp Your Resource Box For Maximum Conversion

Don't drop the ball when writing articles by under utilizing your resource box. Your resource box should be worded to fit naturally into your article and should lead to a relevant capture page.

What goes between the catchy headline and the pimped out resource box is what you want your audience to know about the topic. Be consistent with the head line and the rest should flow naturally. Don't sell, just inform like a friend would to another.

Be real and genuine and use own life experiences examples when ever possible :-). You will get better and your articles will get longer soon you'll be writing series with multiple parts...then maybe even an e-book... That's called "pre-selling".

It starts with the idea seed being planted in the mind of your prospect about a particular subject you both have an interest in. If they like what you have to say and they can relate to you you will get the click, and leads will be generated.
