Articles & Article Marketing has been a timeless internet marketing strategy used by internet marketers across ages to attract prospects and profits to themselves. Thus it is no exaggeration to term the the article's resource box as an ATM - Automated Traffic / Teller Machine.

While most internet marketers work hard to create hi-quality content for their articles, they are half as attentive to the article's resource box. Whereas the truth of the matter is that the article's resource box at the end of the article is what decides whether the reader who reads your article becomes your prospective customer or not. So it is definitely the most important part of the article creation process.

More often than not, there is a natural tendency of article marketers to add a lot about themselves in the article's resource box, which is a complete no-no. It could be most likely because the article's resource box is also referred to as the bio box. The important aspect to understand here is that the prospect who reads the article on the topic of his interest, would be least interested to know who you are and what you have achieved so far. All he would like to know is what is in it for him and why you are the best to provide the same.

Hence apart from your name that you need to add to the article's resource box, which is a must, you must create two concluding lines which summarize the gist of the topic that you have narrated in the article highlighting the benefits for the prospect and yet bringing out your USP (uniqueness / unique selling proposition). An additional tip here is to also make these two lines more search engine relevant by adding a couple of keywords to it. Yet again, dont'overdo it.

The next thing that you must pay attention to is to add your website address which should be in a complete url format i.e. http://websitename.com  ( Better still, if the website name is a related keyword too.)

All the same, make sure that you dont add more than two website addresses in a single article.In fact adding up too many unrelated urls in to one single article destroys your credibility and reputation contrary to building it. Again ensure relevance. The topic discussed in the article should be supported by a link that leads to a website related to the same topic.

Next the call of action is important. Any direct sales pitch  in the article's resource box can make the prospect repel instantly. Further some internet marketers take the prospect directly to the sales page. Well this strategy is neither correct nor wrong. If you think, you have warmed up the prospect sufficient enough to have him make a purchase, it is fine.

But my personal experience has it that the prospect should still be offered to download a FREE Report or FREE Ezine Subscription or FREE Email course to get his email address in to your autoresponder, thus gaining explicit permission to communicate with him.

And then within your next few contacts, you can present your offer after having imparted sufficient value through your written content to make him trust you and your recommendations.This paves the way to building  a long term relationship with your prospect, who rewards you with his loyalty for all what you recommend even in future times to come.
