Attitude and Building a Successful Online Business
It's important to have a good attitude is to becoming a successful entrepreneur. When you have a positive attitude you choose hang in there when you experience challenges rather than quitting and giving up. So what is a good attitude for an entrepreneur?
A successful entrepreneur will say that “Whatever it takes to make my business a success, I’ll do it”. She tells herself, “I know that I am worthy of achieving my dreams. Nothing will stop me from accomplishing them and making a difference in my world.”
How do you maintain this attitude in the midst of challenges? Reading good motivational books is a key factor to staying positive. The books you read will influence you positively or negatively. What kind of an influence do you want?
“I don’t like to read”, you may say, or “I don’t have time.” Bottom line, leaders are readers. A successful entrepreneur is a consistent reader. If you commit to reading a chapter a day, in a month you will have read 30 chapters or up to 2 books of 15 chapters each. In a year you would have read 24 books.
Reading a good book is like sitting at the feet of a master. Imagine what your life would be like if you were mentored by Robert Kiyosaki or Donald Trump. Read their books. Understand and apply what you learn. You are being coached by them.
Some suggested books include:
- The Holy Bible
- Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki
- Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
- The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles
- Why We Want You To Be Rich by Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki
- Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, by T. Harv Eker
- The 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferris
- Transforming Stress by Doc Childre and Deborah Rozman
- Awaken the Giant Within by Anthony Robbins
- The Magic of Thinking Big by David J. Schwartz
Start with one of these books and let yourself be transformed by a master. Your life will be forever changed.

Great post!
I really found growing up that reading came second to most things in my life. There was always something else I could be doing, even if that meant watching TV. Things have changed for me now as I have gained some real knowledge from reading and can't wait to get my hands on some new information. This is a great way to keep up with everything in life, whether it be business, health, design, athletics, or anything else that interests me. Can't wait to check out some of these books!
A suggestion to anyone out there who has ever said "how do you do that?". Get a book, research using the internet, and try to work the problem out on your own first. This will teach you many things and you will become much better at seeking information and retaining the goods. If you have the drive to solve your own problems, you have the drive for success! Theres nothing wrong with asking for help, but don't be lazy... make an effort!
Cheers!
Great article!
I agree with you having the right attitude sure does help you get through the failures, and frustrations that can and do occur in this industry.
I also like your choice of motivational material, I am currently reading "Think and Grow Rich" with a mastermind group, we take one chapter a week and discuss our thoughts on what we learned from that chapter, I't really makes you take a long hard look at yourself! If you are interested in checking it out let me know, It's free to everyone who wants to find that desire, and attitude they may have lost from the all the years of getting beat up in this industry!
