Attraction Marketing 101 – Your Own Self-branded Capture Page

As I indicated in Part 1 of Attraction Marketing 101, one the keys to success in the “new” world of social and attraction marketing is in developing your OWN, self-branded lead capture page. Ultimately, you are striving towards creating “YOU Inc”. To do that, you need to establish yourself as the leader that other struggling MLM and network marketers are seeking, and this is the cornerstone of Attraction Marketing.However, a lot of money and effort can be wasted if you only focus on driving traffic to a replicated capture or splash page, a webpage designed to generate leads by "capturing" your visitor's name and email address. Furthermore, if you are doing any PayPerClick advertising, there is growing evidence that search engines may penalize or “slap” your ad campaigns if you are redirecting web search or content traffic to a replicated page. The first thing you need to have is your very own capture page. Ideally you want a capture page that promotes and "brands" YOU. This might take a little extra effort at the beginning, but remember that you are now building YOUR enterprise! It will take more effort, but it will pay you much more than simply building someone else's business.In order to create your own capture page, you have three options: a) hire someone to do it for you (e.g. check out Elance to outsource for this skill and where you can put in bids -- on average, it should cost between $100-$200 to have a professionally capture page done for you); b) Design it yourself (see below); or c) plug into a Turnkey Self-branding Marketing System  that does most of the hard work for you, but one that still gives you freedom to customize and personalize your landing pages.If you want to tackle this yourself, you’ll need to the following:1.       I highly recommend you download this free HTML editor via an open source project by Linspire: NVU2.    Purchase your Domain Name and Basic Hosting with GoDaddy (Domain name is $2-$10/year, Basic Hosting is $6.99/month). Take a day or two to brainstorm your URL ideas, and use GoDaddy's search feature to obtain variations if your first choices are already taken. Try to put one or two essential search keywords related to your opportunity within the URL, but keep it simply and "catchy". Remember, your capture page does not have to have use heavy graphics or incorporate complicated design to be effective at pulling in leads. There are four parts to creating your landing page:1.       Main Headline – this should be attention grabbing, and you should split test different versions to improve your conversions. Ask others for critique, and look at other successful websites for their headlines and keep track of those that grab your attention. You should collect a “swipe file” with screen shots or print outs of these pages for you to study and learn from.2.       Next is a brief description or sub-heading.3.       Now this is is where you put in your main description, but be sure to load it with BENEFITS. Take advantage of embedded video and audio – video is especially effective, so be sure to get your own YouTube link to use. You can use bullet points that offer big benefits and also be sure to provide value. The key is to solve the problems of your prospects/target audience and then offer SOLUTIONS.4.       You close with what is often referred to as “simple bribe” (e.g. a valuable e-book, newsletter, videos, training, or information) in exchange for their name and e-mail address. The page is ultimately “simple” and it ends with a Yes or No proposition, so don’t provide them with any other options; they either enter their lead info, or they move on.Next, Creating Your Own Capture Page step-by-step.-----------------------------------------
