Attraction Marketing Off Line?
Is anyone using attraction marketing off-line?
I have an example. There are two new hairdresser's in the town I live in. They both opened their businesses about a month or so ago. I'm very pleased for them. I hope they have as much success as I have and more.
I had a thought. I was thinking of stopping by their places and welcoming them to the town, wish them well and let them know that if I happened to get a walk-in and could not fit them in, could I send them their way? I'm thinking this, because one of them, especially, has set up her shop in a terrible location. No exposure at all. I thought I'd help her out a bit if I could.
Now I have a dilema.
I mentioned this to my husband and he brought something up that I had not thought of. He said, "well, what if she just thinks you are stopping by to check out the competition, you know, size things up"? Crap! I had not thought of that. Now I'm not sure if I should go ahead and stop by or just leave it alone.
So, I decided to ask you guys.
This is like attraction marketing off-line, right? My only intent was to welcome them and see if I could send business their way if I couldn't do it. I had no alterior motive. Should I call first or just pop in? Should I not go at all?
I'd really appreciate some in-put on this.
You guys are the best!! Thanks,

Use the Law
Michelle,
If you go in with the welcoming attitude, to be of assistance to these women, then it will work as you think it might.
Go to these women with the thought that they might think I am checking out the competition then you'll attract suspicion.

Definitely Go!
Hi, Michelle,
I agree with Rick. Your motives are well-intentioned, and I'm sure they'll be recieved that way. I also don't think you need to call first - just pop-in, welcome them, offer to perhaps send business their way and then leave. How could anyone take that the wrong way?
Go for it! You're on the right track.
Anne
Thanks
Thanks to both of you. This was my thinking, but, unfortunately, hubby made me question myself. I think it's the right thing to do, so thanks for the encouragement. Greatly appreciated!!
