Beware! The DREADED Pre-Launch!

Read More: Advertising  |  Capture Pages  |  Marketing

This is what many network marketing companies have done.

They’re launching this brand new company and telling people it’s free to join.

They do this by yelling, “Pre-launch! Pre-launch! Pre-launch!” until they get a swarm of interested people hitting their site. Sure they’ll put up a little information about their “revolutionary” new product or service, then explain how it will benefit you.

However, through all the excitement they’re generate they’ll say,

“ If you join now, it’ll be FREE, but if you wait till the launch date, you’ll miss out!“ ….what you don’t know, is what they’re doing behind the curtains!

What is going on behind the “Pre-launch” curtains?

Though they fully intend to offer you a “product” or “service” of some kind, they have another agenda on their minds.

If a company is not yet fully functional, they’re going to want your information to get a hold of you, right?  So the page for the pre-launch is no doubt going to include an area you can input your information in so the company can give you further information about their product or opportunity.

So, the natural thing to do in this situation is to enter your information in the proper area.  So you do. Which is all fine and dandy… until you start to notice something “new” that begins to happen.

Let me explain.

This is what’ll happen.

During this big pre-launch they’re actually developing this gigantic list of “hot prospects” they will later sell to other network marketing companies or individuals looking for a list to buy to start recruiting people  interested in a business opportunity.

So this new pre-launch ends up as nothing other than an excellent tool for list harvesters to contact you with.

This is one of the very reasons you should never involve yourself in a pre-launch situation of any kind, especially if there is no policy and procedures available to you on their “opt-in” page.

Hope this helps!

Pre Launch

Thanks I was looking a pre launch company just last week.  I didn't sign up for the site but the site did actually make sense with all the videos that they had in thier explanation page.  I had started mentioning it to others but was sort of trying to get thier feedback on the site as well.   However, I really was'nt looking to start a new program.  I just liked what they had to offer and was hoping to be able to be more of a customer for thier services.

Before I knew anything about Network Marketing. When I would join a Prelaunch and never hear anything back.  From that Launch nowI know why. LOL makes perfect sense now.

Never join a Ground Floor opportunity anyhow...

You make some excellent points about Pre-Launch opportunity and you should never join anything that hasn't already passed through it's "early failure" stages.  That's generally at least 2 years.

This is when most distributors or reps make the least amount of money as the company goes through all of its start up issues.

Great thanks for the input

I had been looking at something that I had found through squidoo.  They are expecting to open up sometime this month.  The whole concept sounded great for marketing my business online and having leads and what not.  However, the whole attraction marketing is still a new concept for me.  I understand it, and yes I want to be the hunted instead of CHASING  prospects to get them to sit down for 15 minutes.

I currently have myspace, twitter, my plaxo, youtube, and facebook.  Although I have yet to really update facebook or fix youtube. I am still trying to figure out how to delete some of the favorite videos I had added to my profile.   How many hours a week should a newbie be working to get started?
