1. Why does it seem like I make a connection but can't enroll people in my business?

I remember when I first started in this industry my back ground was in car sales, we were always taught to show the FAB which stands for Feature, Advantage and Benefit.

NOT, WRONG ANSWER.  That's like leading a horse to water and saying drink it as you shove the poor animals head in the water when they aren't thirsty, also known as throwing up on prospects.

The most successful individuals in sales, even being a doctor, a parent or any line of work for that matter requires you have,  Are You Ready?

  1. Posture come from a position that you know what you are doing even if you don't.  WHY?
    No one wants to follow someone that's doesn't know where there going, even dogs only bark at moving cars.

 Sales Person or Business Developer

1. Why does it seem like I make a connection but can't enroll people in my business?

This is easy, one mouth, two ears the old saying listen twice as much as you talk because most people don't listen to what others want.  Listening is the best way you could help them enroll through finding out their WHY.

Sales Person, is busy trying to convince someone about the greatest product, this is the best comp plan, talk, talk, sell, sell and more selling.  Never taking a breath giving all the FAB

Business Developer, ask questions to find out WHY the person is looking for a home business or whatever you sell for that matter.

If there not looking for a home business but you want to show them what you have to offer, then asks questions to find out how what you have could fill a void in there life, maybe they can't pay bills, don't have enough family time, or free time to do what they like too.  Use what they want to lead them to your business, product, or service.  Try this then see the difference in enrollments into your business.

2. How do I get people to show up on the follow up call?

Sales Person, is all about get through the process and onto the next person to get the next sale and there thinking about what to say next instead of listening.  People hate to be sold.

Business Developer, genuinely interested in the person you are talking to REMEMBER friends first read "How To Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie more then one time for help. 

Here's a big tip complement the person on something don't flatter them, if they have a great phone voice or they are very friendly, very organized, a great leader at there job compliment them on it. 

People absolutely appreciate a real compliment since we seldom get them in everyday life.  This is about them not YOU.  This all builds trust people show up when trust and friends first is established.

3. What can I do to get people to stop asking me questions like what is this? How much does it cost?

Sales Person, is coming from an aggressive approach thinking this is the only one for the day, I've got to sell'em.  Drink this water I know you're not thirsty, but drink it.  Mindset is on instant gratification instead of long term, BIG PROBLEM.  Do you want repeat business don't do this then.

Business Developer, realize that you are a business developer you are interviewing for a long term business relationship.  Let them know this if they are asking questions.  Remember POSTURE.

"Yes, I would be happy to give you that information.  In order for me to determine if this is a match/fit for you and I both.  I will need to continue this interview to be able to take you to the next step, since I am looking to build a long term business relationship."

If they aren't happy with that answer then say "Thanks for your time John, but I don't think this is right for you."

You are looking for the select few out of the 98% that settle like sheep, you are looking for the ones that are hungry and ready to follow directions. 

So don't get discouraged keep your head up and understand it's not your fault that they aren't qualified, but know this there are other Mike Dillard waiters out there. 

So POSTURE yourself to be Mark Wieser or better yet (YOUR NAME) that can help them with there WHY.
