Black Days or Golden Road Ahead?

I recently read a blog post about the number of stores expecting to close their doors over the next few months, and it would be very easy to succumb to the gloom and doom, like many other people are doing right now.  I prefer to adhere to the philosophy that as one door opens, another one opens.

I believe we are witnessing the beginning of a huge paradigm shift in our history, and more people than ever before will become their own job security.  Many of them, like the kinds of people who are members here, are proactive and have been educating themselves to become self-sufficient over the last several years. 

MANY more, though, will be blindsided by layoffs, cutbacks and other terms that all mean they will suddenly be out of work.  They are going to find themselves hanging on for dear life at the end of a slippery rope, wondering what to do next.  They will be forced to learn to fend for themselves, because the security they thought they had will suddenly be taken away.

I believe these people will view their futures through very dark colored glasses, at least at first.  The number of people affected by this shift in the economy could lead to a downward spiral of despair, if someone doesn't intercede.  While they see dark days ahead,  we have to see the golden opportunity.

I'm not talking about the financial opportunity involved here, either, though there certainly is that.  I'm talking about something much bigger, and much more important.  I'm talking about the opportunity to help your brothers and sisters who have lost their way.  I'm talking about being someone who reaches a hand out to that man or woman clinging to that last bit of rope with one hand, while they try desperately to support their family with the other.

Our golden opportunity is to reach out to a lot of people and offer our genuine help and support.  Our golden opportunity is to stand up and make a difference not just in the lives of our own families, but in the lives of countless others.  Our golden opportunity is to change an entire industry so it is no longer viewed as a scam, a scheme, or a sham by so many people.  Rather, it will be seen as a beacon of hope in a sea of darkness.

There will be no shortage of people looking for help, so we all have to find the best ways to do just that.  There will be many people who will need easy to follow step-by-step training to get them on the right track.  Even if you know the ropes yourself, will you have time to personally teach them to each person who comes to you?   Find a network marketing and mlm training program you can plug people into, so they can learn at their own pace and you can fill in the missing gaps.  This will allow you to help more people than you could doing all the training on your own.

I have been referring to the time ahead as a golden opportunity, but I don't think that does justice to the importance of what we are facing.  This is not a golden opportunity; it is a golden responsibility.  Our efforts as a group can have a huge impact on the world we live in, but we have to handle ourselves with dignity, respect and compassion.  If you do that, the money will come, but you will gain much more than that, I assure you.
