Hey man,
That's a great tip that's made me and others a lot of money! It sometimes is frustrating to see your article copied on the net with your affiliate links replaced with someone else's or your signature taken off or even with someone else's name on it!
I've done a lot of testing on this myself and it seems that I get few leads coming in through viral copies of my articles. On the other hand, the viral spreading of your articles as long as someone keeps your main website link active will give you back-link credibility in the search engines.
