Branding Yourself: Is It For Everyone?

Personal Branding: How Can You Become A Branding Mogul?
What is personal branding and how we can turn into branding moguls?
I have been thinking about branding and how people use it sometimes without really knowing much about it and the power of it.
As we know personal branding represents people, their companies and what they do on daily basis. Personal branding helps to create more credibility and popularity.. We can use our brand in creating different products. It is all about RELATIONSHIPS between You, your brand and your customers. It all comes to how you stand out among all the famous names, brands and how you position yourself for the future..
Look at Oprah, Donald Trump, and Kathy Ireland..and their careers. Look at the successful business owners today online such as Frank Kern, Ty Coughlin with RFS, and Darren Gaudry with Passport to Wealth. One thing they have in common of course is their BRAND.
Personal branding makes a person stand out among the rest of the crowd. It makes a person unique and special. Branding is the power behind our success. It will create long term results and when our name is brought up people will relate to the things they experienced dealing with us personally, our products. That is why it is very important to focus on positive attributes of branding today.
When we brand ourselves we must remember we are creating a long term impression. We are creating a masterpiece and when it is completed we cannot go back and erase the things we did, so we should do our best to give our brand a good reputation from a very beginning.
There are things we must do to prevent from failures:
1. Negativity. How many times do we really stop and think about people we surround ourselves? Do we really want to be around people who are negative and prevent us from being successful in our branding and people who do not believe t hat we can do it? I am sure it was pretty simple to answer.
2. Time and schedule.. We must set schedule and have priorities in life..We can get lazy and get distracted by life events and extra talks we do not need. I am called a military mom in a good sense because I set schedules for myself and my family.
3. Focus.. We must know why we are doing it. We must know it and focus. A lot of successful people will tell you know that they know why they do what they do. Look at Trump businesses as example. He had to focus on what is important to him in life- his name! He struggled in real estate in 1990s and today he is the wealthiest man! Why? He had a laser focus to build his name up and his reputation.
4. Expect from others what you expect from yourself. I think when we work with other people, partners, colleagues we must set rules..
The ways to get others to listen to you:
1. Get rid of the fear. It is YOUR WORST ENEMY.
2. Ask and it will be given. Seriously ask others to read what you do, give advice and ask to be invited to events, even if you cannot get compensated for the them for the first time. Build relationships.
3. Offer free training, consulting, and sample of product.. Ask for referrals.
4. Create positive experiences for yourself first today because it will reflect your future experiences. Your brand is the reflection of your morals, your principles and your passion about what you represent.
5. Write press releases and submit them to local magazines and newspapers. In Nashville where I live we have a great magazine WHO is who in Nashville?
Put your name out there...tell people YOUR story. Nobody knows you unless you open your mouth, write a story and pick up a phone and call them..And ask them to accept it.. I did it and I know it works.
6. Get your name branded online. You must define yourself and be firm. Do not let others tell you what you should do in life. It is your life and live it as YOU want it.
I am known as a marketing coach and a homeschooling mom who was building Reverse Funnel System and I was associated with that name. I am known as a tough Russian business woman. My name is MY BRAND. People know what I do. Some like me and some might even dislike me... We live in the competitive world and we must develop thick skin to be successful. Of course it does not mean we should walk over dead bodies to create our brand. We must be ethical, diplomatic and respectful of the people who brand themselves and learn from them and their successes.

Branding
Informative article that generates good ideas.
Great article!
To add to the great information you've posted here, we all have to take responsibility and realize that WE are in control of our brands. It should not be left up to the Web or your industry to define who you are. If you want to be seen as something, you have to let that be known. Give yourself the label you prefer, promote it, and be consistent. Generally speaking, I've used my username on nearly every network as my "brand" throughout my career in home business. I am a "Power Advisor" and so I wanted to be known for that. In recent days, that role has grown into something bigger, and so I incorporate my business name. Regardless, people always understand what it is I do and who I am by how I present myself and the title I give to myself. That will stick no matter what, but only because I will continue to be consistent in my message to the world. Consistency is key. Let us know what you want to be known as, then claim it!
