Bruised and Battered, and 16 years later....
Hello Friends!
I started my first MLM home business back in 1990 with a company that had exceptional products, but was lacking in several other areas, that caused an eventual collapse of the company and many lost thier dreams. Now they have a different name, and will remain small and insignificant, like the Mom and Pop grocery store down on the corner of Linden and Main...
I spent 10 years with that company, and attained a high level and great pay check, but it was unsustainable, due to the inherant weaknesses and lack of duplication going on within the company.
Had I been able to see the future, or been wise enough, I could have saved myself 10 years of trial and error, failure and frustration, and the sinking feeling of seeing the dreams of several hundred associates in my downline get washed away with the rest of the company.
The moral of the story is, do your due diligence when looking for a company to work with. Be a critical thinker, and take the time to read the policies and procedures, investigate the pay structure, do a bio on the CEO and management team. Check a few MLM watchdog sites for clues or information that may spell trouble down the road.
Nothing good or worthwhile comes easy, it takes time and effort, doing the right things and duplicating those things to earn a walk away income.
When ever you here the get rich quick pitch, remember these words...

Check to see if your MLM is a member of the DSA. Check the bios of the CEO and CFO and other company leaders. Do they have the experience. Do they have a reproducible marketing plan? Is the compensation plan fair? Thanks for your article.
