Confessions of a People Magnet - MLM - Leadership - Mentoring

I'll start out by saying that all strong leaders are people magnets but not all people magnets are strong leaders.

What makes someone a people magnet? I'll tell you it's not complicated!

1. You have to have a genuine love for people. You must also truly love being around people. If you are a recluse, becoming a people magnet is not going to happen.

2. You must have a heart-felt burden to help people achieve. This is where a lot of individuals miss the boat. You must have that desire to mentor people and to see them achieve their highest potential. Learn to accept people where they are on the road to growth in business accumen. Anybody can lead or mentor polished diamonds. Are you willing to dig up that diamond in the rough and polish (mentor) them? One of the things I detest is when many individuals spend the time to recruit someone to an opportunity but even before the ink dries on the distributor application, the upline is no where to be found: It's on to the next recruiting conquest! No wonder many people drop out. People magnets are strong mentors. They seek to understand others.

3. Do only Win-Win deals. If you are the only one winning in a deal or business relationship pretty soon you will look around and no one will be standing there. Win-win is not only the right thing to do but win-win is one of the most rewarding concepts. Your business relationships will grow and thrive and those who you cut such deals will bring others to you.

4. Become a Problem Solver. No matter what the opportunity or business, the strongest people magnets are the best problem solvers. Everything in life is a problem that needs to be solved. Some problems are simple, others complex. To become a great problem solver you must develop your creativity. Think outside the box and don't just look at only one obvious solution. For example, if you have vitamins to sell and distribute to earn a living, that is a problem. Who is your target customer base is one question. Do your research, plan and sharpen your skills. Set crystal clear goals and objectives and then act.

5. Integrity and Ethics are always the foundation for whatever a people magnet does. They are some of the biggest building blocks for credibility and trust. Who wants to work with a liar or any person with other dishonest character flaws.

6. Be well informed about your industry and trends. People magnets are always at the top of their game. They seem to be always in the know. It seems like you can never spring new information on them regarding their industry. They are always reading, listening to a new CD or always taking some course. They are not afraid to spend money on their education and preparation to succeed.

7. Become a Positive Thinker. People magnets usually relish being confronted with problems. Because, every problem is an opportunity to develop a solution. That opportunity solution may come in the form of a new product or service. So, while the average person is whining about a problem or shying away from problems, the positive thinker will see the OPPORTUNITY.
