Did Ferny Just Give Me A Spanking? Follow Your Leaders!
Just recently there's been a bit of controversy revolving around Mike D unfollowing a bunch of his Twitter followers and this has impacted my world to the degree that I posted an article about it and attracted a wee bit of attention...
Is It Self-Centered For Mike Dillard to UnFollow 10,000 People?
One leader who I'm particularly proud to announce was inclined to comment on my thoughts was Ferny Ceballos.
In his comments I had the impression that I was gettting a spanking! lol ;)
Who the Hell Do You Think You Are?
Not sure what made me think that! lol :)
...So I responded as cordially as I possibly could:
Hey Ferny, nice question!
And he responded back just as nice:
Bitching vs. Criticizing
"Just to clarify Randy. The question wasn't directed at you. It was a general question for everyone. After re-reading I realized that you might think it was personally directed at you.
No worries man.
You aren't the only one who knows how to use controversy for traffic. ;) (hint hint)
And it's really big of you to admit that. And I have no problem with your strategy either. It generates a discussion, which is very valuable.
Like they say, "The empty can rattles the most" and it just seemed to me that those complaining (not necessarily criticizing) have the least to offer.
A complaint is just a bitch. A critique should be thoughtful.
Keep up the good work Randy.
-Ferny"
He offered some really great insights in both of his comments and particularly compared where Mike is in his career vs. those in network marketing in general, and like Juanita Waterman said, first commenting that Mike is a genius about what he has built here, that "Mike sells shovels..."
Basically, Mike isn't necessarily in the same business as the common network marketer. He sells tools to network marketers. Different place in your career requires perhaps a different approach.
Ferny emphasized that in general it may be desirable to gain a large following to attract people to your biz, and that's OK, if that's your need or even you choice.
Anyhow, I'd just like to publicly give a great big THANK YOU to Ferny for the leadership and insight he provides to this community ...and also for NOT GIVING ME A SPANKING IN PUBLIC! LOL ;)
(I thought maybe I was going to have to call Mike Klingler in to help me out. he he)
The bottom line I'd like to emphasize is this: We may not all agree on marketing techniques, strategies, companies, and so on 100% of the time, but in general we still have a lot that we can learn from each other.
Don't hesitate to follow the leaders in this industry and learn something because although you may not get 100% value in line with what your interests are, you may pick up 20% or 50% here and there and it all adds up to 100% PLUS!
"Every person in this life has something to teach me — and as soon as I accept that, I open myself to truly listening {and learning}." -Catherine Doucette
One more big THANK YOU to all the industry leaders in general.
Keep up the good work and thanks for sticking your necks out there!

Ferny giving you a spanking?
Great word picture Randy!
YOU'VE DEFINITELY GOT THE SUBJECT LINE SKILL PERFECTED!
Hi Randy,
Thanks for making me laugh again! One of the many things I learned in Magnetic Sponsoring was to create a catchy, magnetic, interesting, "What's this kind of thing?" subject line.
AND you appear to have really mastered that!
LOL,
Blessings,
Judy
Judy You're So Sweet!
Thank you for the complement.
At least it was good for a laugh, huh? lol ;)
Abundance & Prosperity,
Randy
LOL
Great topic... I suppose everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. I stand by my previous comments, though. LOL
