You can have everything in life you want, if you only work to help everybody else get what they want” –Zig Ziglar.

I had an "Ah ha!" moment when I first heard this quote. It was actually more like a "duh?" moment if you really want to know. My moment didn't produce any momentum in my networking business though... In fact my business didn't do much of anything because I missed applied the principle in the quote.

I suspect, if your business isn't moving faster than you can keep up with it, you may be in the same boat. And here's why... Ziglar didn't tell you the other part of the equation.

Now before you start stoning me, let me explain.

 

If You Don't Know What People Want, You Can Only Give What You Think They Want

Knowing what people want and thinking you know what they want is not the same. Knowing will get you welcome with open ears and open wallets... Thinking you know, well... will having you joining business after business looking for the one that everyone wants to join, lead systems that convert no's into yes and products that "REALLY SELL THEMSELVES!!"

This can be very draining, expensive and time consuming. If you've been wandering around looking for a magic bullet before or you are in the middle of doing it now, you know exactly what I mean.

Your business will make a complete 180 degree spin from tragic to magic if you discover how to find out what people want. So, as my gift to you for reading this article I will share with you how I answered that question just a few months ago.

 

Discover What Your Ideal Prospects Want Fast and Free (Not what You Think)!

One of the quickest ways is to look for places where people are asking questions about products and services you are looking to sell. See what people are asking about the product/service before they buy it. Also look over the reviews to see what current/past customers are saying. You will start to see patterns.

For example, if you are looking to sell a network marketing business, your target market is asking questions like "what is network marketing." (IMPORTANT: If you are a network marketer who is actively seeking to recruit new reps into your business and you don't have at least one piece of content answering this question, you should to quit your business today or click away right now and create some content immediately)

Now, I don't know how Ziglar did it in his day but if you are reading this you already have access to the most power tool to help you discover what people want.

Start Earning Easy Money For Sharing Your Opinion

But not just your opinion or any random thing! No, your honest opinion on what you've discovered or people told you (all be it not personally) that they want. One of the most under utilized resources I've seen so far are places like Yahoo Answers and ehow.com where your potential prospects are asking all types of questions about the types of solutions your products and services can solve.

Man, I can't seem to answer the question fast enough! The place is just swarming with people asking all types of questions about your products, your services and your business. Everywhere you go online people are telling you, asking you to give them what they want.

There's only one problem... YOU are not there to hear and see so the questions either go unanswered all together or they get crappy answers from less qualified, less knowledgeable and less professional people than you.

There is One More *tiny* Problem

You may not always know the answer or have a solution to help someone get what they want. But there is still hope for you. Start with answering ALL of the questions you can. That should should keep you busy for a long time.

For example people are always asking for ideas on how to turn their life's passion into a business

After you get a good grasp on answering the question you already know the answers to you can research the answers to the questions others are asking that you want to know the answer to as well.

That way, you'll be like that guy in that really old book that went to the mountain on behalf of his people and became a hero... now I'm not implying anyone gonna dedicate a chapter of a major book or make movies about you 2000 years from now but, ya never know right? Just go for it!

Listen, this is how I have been able to build multiple lists, start mutually beneficial relationships and make most of my passive sales.

So, to recap. Ziglars says, "To get what you want, help others get what they want" and I add, "Helping other get what they want is only gonna work if you can find out how to know what people want."

Either be (or go) where people are asking the types of questions your business, products and services are the answer; the solution; a great option to consider. And while you are there don't be a lame-o spammer! Answer peoples question truthfully and non-manipulatively.

Don't analyse anything, you will then find yourself analyse everything, and you will get nowhere.

Whose analysing? I'm just stated what helped me and may help others take action on a theory. Whether you agree or not success is a science and life has a formula... The beauty is in creating it for ourselves.

I do that by asking and receive... I am finding myself getting EVERY where.

Maybe you should have been my sponsor and trainer 10 years ago... it sure was NOT obvious to me! lololol...I actually thought, "EVERYONE want what I have!" and, "who wouldn't want to join my business and be my customer? It's a no-brainer!"

All the while I was the no-brainer... I just didn't know I was suppose to discover the needs of people in their own words instead of trying to spoon feed them mine.

Sometimes the easiest concepts are the most difficult to grasp. This article takes Mr. Ziglar’s lesson one step further and brings it home even more. I don’t know what the objections were about? This was a great article and you keep em coming! Often times we as networkers get so juiced up emotionally and charged about getting going that we forget the basics, and worst, may not have someone to even teach us the basics in the first place. Thanks for staying fundamentally sound! Temi
