Do you really need to be a personality cult


They told me, all you have to do is follow our « Road Map to Success » and you’ll be a superstar in 18 months. The sad part is, I believed them.

In theory, Network Marketing looks great. Well, it’s more than great because it actually makes you loose sleep at night. The problem is they forgot to tell me everything about the details. .

What I didn’t expect is to deal with people who don’t have the same behaviours I have. I discovered early in my networking career that if you don’t have the charismatic or cult personality, you better have a few other tools under your belt to survive. .

Of course, being a great motivator is helpful to get a lot of people excited and sign-up lots of them but soon or later, those people are going to get back to reality and realize they don’t have what it takes to succeed in Network Marketing. And while we talk about that, what does it take to succeed in this business? .

Do you need to be a “Tony Robins” on the stage? .

Do you have to be an aggressive salesperson? .

A lot of people believe so. Actually, most prospects see it that way because their main concern is they can’t see themselves doing the business. Why? .

Because if they thought they could do it, they already would be in it. .

The truth is, if you’re not a superstar, you need to be good. When you think about it, Mc Donald’s doesn’t hire a motivator speaker to sell their franchise, neither Subway or Sheraton. .

They simply use business principles that have been proven effective. Isn’t it that way it should be in Network Marketing? .

You see... we have to go "mainstream" business to succeed… really. Which mean you build a proto-type that works and can be duplicated. Not like – send this tape and this brochure or call everyone you know and tell them why you're excited – but a real business model. Much like a franchise does. .

If you don’t know how to make your distributors effective, you need to use motivation. If your distributors have been trained properly, they will be self motivated by their success. .

So… don’t be the one screaming on the stage, be yourself and master each component of Network Marketing. People will come to you and admire the fact that you can really point to them where the problem is in their business and what they need to do to set a goal and achieve it, then set another goal and achieve it. .
