Does Poverty Exist?

There's a wonderful story that was passed around on the Internet recently by Temple of Peace (temple of peace). The story goes like this:
"A University professor at a well known institution of higher learning challenged his students with this question"Did God create everything that exists?"
A student bravely replied, "Yes he did!"
"God created everything?" The professor asked.
"Yes sir, he certainly did," the student replied.
The professor answered, "If God created everything; then God created evil. And, since evil exists, and according to the principle that our works Define who we are, then we can assume God is evil."
The student became quiet and did not respond to the professor's Hypothetical definition. The professor, quite pleased with himself, boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the religious faith was a myth.Another student raised his hand and said, May I ask you a question, professor?"
"Of course", replied the professor.
The student stood up and asked, "Professor does cold exist?"
"What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?"
The other students snickered at the young man's question. The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Everybody or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460 F) is the total absence of heat; and all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat."
The student continued, "Professor, does darkness exist?"
The professor responded, "Of course it does."
The student replied, "Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact, we can use Newton's prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present."
Finally the young man asked the professor, "Sir, does evil exist?"
Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course, as I have already said. We see it everyday. It is in the daily examples of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil."
To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist, sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when Man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat, or the darkness that comes when there is no light."
The professor sat down.
The young man's name -- Albert Einstein. A true story." Does Poverty Exist?No Poverty does not exist, what we label as Poverty is just the absentness of Abundance. The proof of this is that all poverty measurements are the measure of existing Wealth and abundance. Science has established that everything that exists is energy, and energy can be measured. Wealth and abundance is all around us. There is more than enough wealth and abundance to go around everyone can have as much of it as they want. But, the trick here lies in that poverty is lack and lack is as a great big black hole and absorbs everything that approaches. So until one stops measuring the lack and seeks the Abundance of the universe there can be no vial to hold the energy of wealth and thus the void is filled with lack and want. So to totally attract wealth and abundance you must measure the wealth and abundance in your life not the lack and want. Yes, it is true. We ourselves are largely responsible for the quality of our lives through our thoughts and our actions. How we've used or misused the great power of our minds up until this very moment in our lives has heavily influenced the outcome which are our lives at this precise point in time.
Unfortunately, in reality we are all not created equal. Obviously, we are all not born with the same level of intelligence or natural abilities. The only way to create monetary wealth is to become part of the ownership class. Some people just don't have the aptitude to become business owners. They could never learn the skills necessary to run a successful business.
In addition to not being born with the same abilities, we all are not afforded equal opportunity to create successful lives from the very beginning. Everyone does not have access to the same quality of education, health care and basic daily neccessities of life.
Millions and millions of God's children struggle through unbelievable hardships on a daily basis just trying to stay alive. Concepts such as wealth attraction and mind power just aren't present in their plane of existence.
Therefore, to state that poverty does not exist is just not true. Poverty does exist in all of it's ugly forms for a large percentage of human beings inhabiting this planet. Much of it is the result of greed, exploitation, narrowmindedness and the lust for power. There is more than enough wealth and abundance to go around, but the playing field just isn't level.
You my friend are one of the forntunate few who understands the Laws of Attraction. I wish you all the best in your pursiut of a full life, and when you acquire your wealth do me a favor - have a heart.

Yes, you observations are correct Poverty has a well established Stronghold in America and even stronger Outpost through out the World, but poverty exsist only because those who can defeat it do nothing. Some out of greed and self interest others ignorance and misdirection. Every great warrior knows to defeat there enemy they must know their enemy as themselves or even better. To understand poverty we must understand that Poverty is not but is the spector of the lack of Abundance.

Also I would like to take one moment to despute your belief that we are not all born (or created) equal. While some have better talents and some more talent, we all are created with a drive to thrive. Many of the envirmenatal and educational factors may wear this down to miniumal but in the in end we all seek to have and do just a little more then we have done before. Harvesting this drive for the best within reach can move us deeper in to the Abundance of existence.
Yes, I am very sure that many could tell this was just the introduction to a series of articles on the Laws of Attraction and improving the Universe through self improvement and dedicated leadership.

A good Concept - for the Most Part
I think you have some good insight on this posting, but by raising the issue that poverty does not exsist, you open so many doors. I am glad to see so many using their mindset to create abundance in their lives. For many of those who are 'severely lacking in abundance' options and knowledge are limited.
There is no lack of abundance in our world, unless money is the only thing you consider. I don't have a 5 figure income every month (yet?) but I have a very abundant life, filled with so many great things, and I like to share it, therefore it may not look as abundant as it could be; more important, I feel more satisfied helping others than I ever would stashing a pile and sitting on it. We have enough to be comfortable, educate our children, go where we want, and take care of ourselves and others that need it more.
I really believe that some people out there are just wanting so much that they will never consider themselves living an abundant life, no mater what is in their hands.

Yes Abundance abounds every where
Once again Abundance is all around us lack of abundance is merely the inablity or refusal to harvest the goodness around. But, knowledging that Poverty is a state of mind or merely a mindset the habit of focusing on the wand and desire unstead of haversting the Plenty.
My Creator and his only begotten Son have given me many wonderful gifts but none of them are mine until I accept them and live in them.
