Don’t Make a List of Your Friends & Family - and WHY?
Target the market. Find people who want your product or your service.
You’ve got to remember - your friends & family are the ones who KNOW you failed at the Lemonade Stand when you were 7 years old, and they’ll never let you forget it.
Don’t let them beat you up. Instead, target your market.
It’s a lot easier to talk to a person who has raised their hand and said, “Hey! I want THAT!” That person actually calls you, in response to your marketing, as compared to you chasing after people who only want to avoid you.
Suddenly, you’re in a whole new position. To be successful long-term, you MUST become the “chasee”, not the “chaser.”
And now, when you talk to your friends & family, you have posture. You ARE successful. And now they will listen to you.
Most people are “trained” to do this exactly the wrong way … and that’s why most people fail at MLM.

Don't Make the List
Jenny.
Amen to that!!
Wonderful, short to the point article.
Boy, I image many hundreds of thousands of Network Marketers have had to learn that one the hard way.

Jenny, Before I stared
Jenny,
Before I stared social networking and creating a presence online, I did it the old school way (talking to friends, family and strangers)and was rather successful. Did I have fun? No, it's not the way I wanted to grow my business.
So, I started learning everything I could about marketing online. It's definitely my passion and what I enjoy. And it's great to have choices and to educate people on those.
I Hate talking to Friends and Family about Business
They know what I do. But if they are not asking me for more info. It is so nice to beable to leave them alone. YOur Friend for Life Juanita Waterman
You a re 100% right.....i
You a re 100% right.....i signed up plenty of family of friends who all failed, and blame me for getting them involved!!!
Why we never learned this the first go round??
Great article Jenny. I totally agree. I think its MLM suicide to poach on your family and friends. They then fear when you walk in the room like you are going to pigeon hole them to buy your product or join their team. I was victim to that...AND victim to my first MLM opportunity that I wasn't truly passionate about.
Thanks for posting. I look forward to learning and hearing more from you.
