Don't Over Think This Thing, Just Be Yourself!

Hello all! I just wanted to drop this quick article to share some insight that I just REALLY got after a few years in Network Marketing. Before I do, I want to thank Mike Klinger for his video How to Use Better Networker to Grow Your Business because it helped me to realize how be successful when using social media to build your business. So, why the title for my article? Well, many of us try to overthink the whole business building process, I know that I have. We try to think about what tactics we are going to use when talking to certain people, what kind of scripts that we should use when all we really need to do is BE OURSELVES!

I started in Nework Marketing a few years back and with my military schedule (Iraq deployment, schools, becoming an officer) and my family schedule (married with kids, mom staying with me) I haven't built my business to the level that I would like it to be at right now. But I stick with Network Marketing because I believe in the industry. Although I am a military officer and a veteran of almost 18 years, I haven't brought that same cool headed, decisive and confident personality to my business over the last few years. As an Infantry officer, you would think that if I can "close with and destroy the enemy" that I could talk to someone about my business! We need to consider that the only thing that we can TRULY be in this life is OURSELVES, flaws and all. If we take the strong points of our personality and use that as the foundation for our presentation, I think that we would be much better off. We mess up (me included) when we try to duplicate someone else to the tee when we don't even have the same personality as that other person! No matter what your confidence level is when compared to other people, you still have strengths that others don't have. The greatest asset about Networking is that it is "a self-development program with benefits" (I bet you haven't heard a similar statement before) and you can turn those weaknesses into strengths as you grow through the process.

Recognize your strengths and use them to present what you have in the most humble and sincere yet ENERGETIC way that you can. Use Better Network like I am to develop yourself and then in turn develop others! With all this in mind, I now say to myself, "Don't Over Think this Thing, Just Be Mike Kane! Take the same advice, just be yourself!

Man that was a load off my chest, but it has opened my mind to what I need to do in order to improve myself! I hope that it helps you also!

God Bless, Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Joyeaux Noel and Feliz Navidad!
