Dropped $20K on Biz Opp...Who the Heck is Mike Dillard Anyway?

That's right. I was naive and dropped $20K on a Direct Sales opportunity with No Internet Marketing skills whatsoever. Well, it wasn't exactly my money, but I'll divulge more on that in a minute. I had never heard of Mike Dillard or any other Network Marketing Guru for that matter. It was sink or swim and my J-O-B depended on it.

I had been in the Mortgage Industry for a few years and when it began to crumble, my job was about to disintegrate along with it. My boss was in the midst of folding shop when he approached me with a direct sales / Internet marketing opportunity. I could tell he was desperate, so I indulged him with an open ear. He asked if it was something I thought I could pull off and of course I said "Sure, I can handle this". My J-O-B was at stake!

I dove into Google AdWords head first, investing about 10-12 hours per day reading related books, setting up and tweaking my account, and listening to tutorials. We spent way more money on advertising than we should have, but somehow I managed to earn $18k the very first month.

I had noticed Mike Dillard's testimonial on some of our company's landing pages, but had no idea who he was and quite frankly, didn't have the time to care. I was not only caught up and mesmerized by AdWords, but I was also busy using our advertising dollars to brand and make other people more famous.

Our company kept offering and promoting Mike's products and for some reason I just thought it was a ploy to line their pockets. Little did I know......they truly did care about our success!

I purchased Mike's MLM Traffic Formula and it literally blew my mind! I instantly realized I had been going about my marketing all wrong. Granted, we were making money, but how long would it last? I began to realize that people sponsor shop. They seek out leaders. I put in the effort to learn several marketing skills, so why not become the Master and brand myself as such?

I have worked with the cream of the crop of Internet Marketers and I can full-heartedly say that Mike Dillard's material has been the most beneficial by far. It's about Me Inc.!

At an event recently, I happened to find myself in the convention center hallway right next to no other than Mike Dillard himself. Even though he was chatting with a few other people, he took the time to turn towards me and say, "Hi, I'm Mike". Nice guy. I should haved showed him my appreciation, but I could only muster up, "Hello Mike, I'm Neal". Ever have that happen to you? You run the situation in your head over and over afterwards and only then do you realize what you should have said. Anyhow, if I could do it over, I would have said, "Hey Mike, I know exactly who you are. As a matter of fact, I just broke the $1,000 commission mark selling your Awesome products! Thanks to you, I know the exact direction I should be taking my business in. I will be at the top very soon, so keep an eye out!"

It feels excellent to promote products that you feel great about. My commissions on Mike's products are really starting to escalate and that feels great too.
