Email Marketing And Do Sales Letters Still Work!
A couple of common questions have come through my office recently so I thought I would answer them for you today.
How effective is email marketing still when it comes to following up with a auto-responder series after they put their details in to the lead capture page?
And
It seems there are a lot of people that may run away or get turned off with a sales page copy cause there are so many of these pages out there with me too products and potential scams, how can one differentiate themselves giving more credibility so a person will read and get attracted to yours?
Thanks, M.M.
So how effective is email marketing still?
The answer is, if done the right way it is still the number one way to market!
But if done wrong then it is going to very difficult and a huge waste of time and in most cases money.
It all comes down to effectively generating your own leads and building a relationship with your leads over time.
Building a relationship with your generated leads can be time consuming as it takes some time for them to trust you.
But once you have a list of leads who trust you the opportunities are endless and you literally have a license to print money is not so many words.
Let me explain...
It all starts with generating your own leads with a proper capture page and giving those leads something without really wanting anything in return.
You want to start to generate leads in the proper target market which the best target market is usually people who are already involved in some form of home business or network marketing.
What you want to do is give them helpful information that cost them nothing to take and use to help them in their current business.
This usually comes in the form of helpful newsletters or free reports that contain helpful information without ever actually asking for them to buy something.
Here is the key ingredient in effective email marketing...
Stop chasing money and trying sooo hard to get people to buy from you and start putting your focus on helping others... The minute you do that the money will start coming in almost automatically and you will find it much easier to make money.
You see when you try to get someone to buy something you seem like a salesman and they will not buy from you and you will find it extremely difficult to build a relationship with them.
Ok... So now you are generating leads and giving them something for nothing that will help them, over time of doing this you will be gaining their trust and when you do have something to offer them for sale they will trust you enough to buy it.
They key is giving them more helpful information that you give them offers.
The cool thing is you can sell a front end generic retail product for under $50 to help fund your advertising. If you haven't done so yet, get a copy of Magnetic Sponsoring. This a great place to start when it comes to marketing.
But the main thing that you need to do for effective email marketing is make sure that you give something away of value for nothing and never actually try and sell them something. This will build a trusting relationship with your prospects.
The second question pertains something to setting yourself apart with a sales letter since there are so many of them out there.
There is A LOT of crap out there... the way you set yourself apart from others is to Brand yourself and WRITE GOOD SALES COPY! Simple but can take a long time.
Keep it simple and learn how to hit the right triggers. It all starts with the headline! If you have a good headline and half ass copy then you will do just fine. If you have a crappy headline you might as well give up!
But the way to set yourself apart is definitely with good copy. So YES sales letters still work, and probably always will.
Talk to you soon,
