For Best Results Choose the company Not The Product

Network Marketing is a profession and top level team builders treat it as such.

Recently I spent almost two month evaluating opportunities. I read, researched Googled, pondered over compensation plans, down line structures, policies, the resumes of the leaders and listened to the promises of the sponsors.

They did not meet the standards I needed to build residual income, there programs favored the high powered recruiters not the business builders. When you stoped recruting the money stopped. 

It was not uncommon for their policies and procedures to be over thirty pages.

Why do they need that many lawyer words?  Because somewhere in all of those words there is something in there that will allow them to take from you.  

Choose your company for its  capacity to provide for your personal growth and success. No matter how good the product is it cannot make up for a lopsided opportunity.

Most companies, especially in network marketing have really great products. They could not stay in business if they didn’t.  If they delivered a faulty product they would be unable to have a substantial retail profit center.

Retail customers would not repurchase, representatives would soon become discouraged and leave. It only makes sense for them to maintain a very high quality product. .

There are many opportunities out there that are structured to take advantage of the rank and file representatives. You must beware and do a thorough job of researching every aspect, from the top level management through their policies and procedures and compensation plans.

The compensation plan needs to be scrutinized, paying close attention to the way the matrix is organized. If you can’t go wide enough, deep enough, lose your down line to quickly or, forced to accept non productive people in your down line or it is some form of binary you might want to continue your search.

If the company is publicly traded, it will favor the stock holders over the representatives every time.   You also need to learn what kind of up line help is available.
 
Why would you want to spend years trying to develop residual income in the  kind of environment I have described? You wouldn’t!! No matter how great their product.

Your decision must be based on a thorough understanding of the things mentioned above. This may require some specialized instructions.

The choice of companies is so critical to success that I hired an attorney to show me the traps in one over 100 page of policies and procedures. From that point on I knew what to look for.

Now many network-marketing companies offer a great environment for which to grow in. Just beware, the ones that offer the biggest promises are generally the ones that have the most to hide.

Fall in love with the products of the company that gives you the best chance for success and long term residual income. If you love a product from another company buy it and use it but please do not choose an opportunity based on the products.
