Get It All Over Your Face!
Get it all over your face!
In reading Think and Grow Rich, we are admonished by Hill in chapter 4 ( auto-suggestion) to carry out the instructions as though we are a small child, to inject into our efforts something of the Faith of a child.
I usually see my grandsons almost everyday. As I observe their behavior, it is easy to see how we should behave.
My 3 year old grandson, Taylor loves to help when I am cooking and baking. Baking is his favorite because he loves sweets, especially chocolate. I guess he can’t help himself because his mom and his Mimi (that would be me) both love chocolate also. When we mix up the chocolate chip cookie dough or the brownie batter he gets it all over his face, hands, and usually his shirt. He can’t help it. He is only three.
The analogy here is when it comes to your business and what you should do, I say really get in to it! To the best of your ability follow those instructions, poke your fingers in, lick your spatula, get it on your shirt, dive in and get it all over your face!
Like Taylor, be eager to learn and help. When Taylor hears the mixer, he runs to the kitchen and pushes his chair right up to the action! He loves to help, but of course he also loves the end result. The reward from his helping is something sweet.
Likewise, the reward for us when we help or offer value is also sweet, knowing that we have helped someone grow towards success in their lives.
Whatever, it is......your business, your life in general, a new task, your family....Life is too short, just immerse yourself and get it all over your face!
Enjoy!
