Getting Your "Stuff" Organized and "Findable"

I often get asked, "How do you organize your stuff so you can find it later?"  I must admit-I use an Internet tool/website.  One of my favorite sites is Clipmarks.com  This is a free service that allows you to clip and share content.  I use it to:

• Save thoughts or ideas for future blog posts
• Save images that I want to find and use on a later date
• Save videos that I know I want to watch again
• Save anything that I know I want to see again
• Get my unique content listed with a backlink

Once an item is clipped it is put into either a public or private stream -you choose.  I usually make items public - this generates a backlink to the content that people can check out if they need more information.

ClipMarks also integrates with blogging software, Twitter, Digg, and other Social Sites to help you be more efficient.  Once an item is clipped you can send the hyperlink to Twitter which in turn can send the link out to various social sites by updating your status at these sites.  This is a great timesaver!
