How can you transition from employee to
business owner?

This is a question many run into and something
my wife and I had to consider. You still have to
pay your bills before you can tell your boss
goodbye and take your opportunity to the streets.

No magic pill

I'll be perfectly honest with you, it's not automatic
and even though experience and training is not a
prerequisite for joining a network marketing company,
it IS critical for succeeding in one.

You will have to read some books, take some training,
and study those that have pioneered this business.

Education

The beauty of a network marketing opportunity
is that you have total freedom in setting your hours
so you can ease into it. I am not a bookworm, so I
purchased the audio versions many works I knew I
needed to study.

I played them in my car everywhere I went and
got through them remarkably fast. Your ability to
retain data is almost the same whether you are
listening or reading, so it doesn't really matter
how you acquired the knowledge. The only important
thing is that you DID.
 
So keep your job for as long as needed while
you get your feet wet. Eventually, if you are
persistent, your home-based business will surpass
your job in terms of income and its time to plan your
exit strategy.

Glory

I remember the moment the scale tipped and
suddenly a huge weight fell from my shoulders,
I was free! It was hard to keep a smug grin off
my face, but I no longer needed that corporation
and take orders from above. No longer were
they going to determine how much I make, how
long I can vacation, or how much time I get to
spend with my kids.

I could have left with a longwinded goodbye
email explaining in great detail how I wrestled
free from the rat race, but I didn't. Many of
my coworkers were loyal desk jockeys and
I decided to find other like-minded souls out
there. Are you one of them? It could be your
turn to break away next.
