How To Develop A Wealthy Mindset
How you think and what you think when it comes to wealth and money has a huge affect on your prosperity and ability to actually become wealthy. Studies show that individuals who always seem to struggle with money and have bad spending and saving habits, tend to have negative views about money and wealth.
Individuals who are wealthy possess a healthy view of money and most importantly, what it takes to achieve wealth, regardless of what their definition of wealth is. Wealth isn’t always about having millions of dollars in the bank. It can be in real estate, business, being debt free, and other assets. Of course for some, it DOES involve how much money a person has and what they are able to do with it.
People with a wealthy mindset understand that it takes work, dedication and sacrifice to achieve true personal wealth. Something that every wealthy person has in common is a belief in the fact that they are deserving of wealth, that they can achieve whatever they set their minds to, and that they take action to actually make those things happen. If you are coming from a habit of pessimistic or negative thinking, it is too much to expect of yourself to be able to instantly transform your thinking.
Developing a wealthy and positive mindset is not about pretending to be happy, it’s about being able to see the larger picture and not let challenges or hurdles derail you from your goals. Individuals with a wealthy mindset really don't complain or blame others about their circumstances, they find solutions. They say you cannot have a victim mindset AND be rich at the same time.
Your thinking, your character and your beliefs are critical to determining the level of your prosperity.
If you want to change your thinking, the best way to start is by becoming aware of your thoughts, beliefs, and habits around money, wealth and rich people. Write them down and explain how you think it has impacted your financial life. As you do this notice how these beliefs are only things you learned and are really not who you are. You have a choice to create new beliefs. Then make a decision that you will no longer accept those beliefs and create new supportive beliefs. Write down your new beliefs, declare them out loud and post them where you can see them.
Next is to identify your goals and write them down. When you see your goals in writing, it starts your mind working towards those goals and getting them into your subconscious. If you believe that you can’t achieve your own goals, that can quickly become a self fulfilling prophesy and typically does. In addition to identifying your goals, having a plan in place to go along with those goals is extremely important.
Contrary to what many think about those who have a wealthy mindset, achieving wealth isn’t about wishful thinking and hoping. It involves a plan and taking steps to reach those goals. Not having a plan, is planning to fail. When you have a plan, it helps to keep you motivated and directed towards where you are headed.
Wealthy people think about the future, they plan for the future, and they believe in their own abilities. They don’t look at the things that happen in their lives as things they have to endure. It’s not always easy to be positive and keep that wealthy mindset when times are tough, but by starting with positive steps, and setting goals that you can reach each month, you will see and feel a difference in your own mentality as each goal is reached.
Everyone who decides, can be wealthy. You don’t have to wait for lottery wins or luck, you just have to take that first step of belief in yourself and KNOW that you can achieve whatever you desire badly enough to work for.
