How Important Is Personal Growth

Read More: Personal Development

Looking for input from all of you out there.  Here is my question:  How important is personal growth in the development of your individual network marketing businesses?

From where I'm standing after 27 years of being in this industry and reading the books, attending various personal development seminars, I've found that journey to be VERY important.

What do you think??

Thanks for your reply.

Perserverance is not optional

A good question, Paulette.  I think your longevity in the industry speaks for itself.  It matters that you enjoy the process and can manage the highs and lows.  I am genuinely enjoying the journey at present and look forward to the many challenges I will ultimately face in 09'.

Personal Growth

Perhaps the most important realization that an individual can make in their quest for personal growth is that there is no single formula that defines the path to personal success. We all have different goals and priorities, which means that different activities and attitudes will make us feel good about ourselves. We also have different natural strengths and weaknesses that are a part of our inherent personality type. How then, as individuals, can we feel successful in our lives?

More Important than marketing!

Personal Development is crucial to go thru so that you attract the things you want in your life......in terms of maketing that would be success. Just as Mike Dillard said, if we don't have a abundance mentality.....we will always focus on the wrong things. I wrote an article when Mike responded to a forum discussion I started....Most people think about what will go wrong in their business...instead of thinking about what will go right.

  • It is extremely important that we realize that there is an infinite amount of leads, an infinite amount of money, and an infinite amount of love in the world.
  • THAT IS HAVING AN ABUNDANT MENTALITY!

After I FINALLY read Magnetic Sponsoring I couldn't agree with it more.....the prospect is not the leader, they are the follow. Alpha's are in control of the conversation AND the opportunity. There is nothing that we can't have in this world. Self Growth is necessary to grow in any aspect of our life!

Great question

Thats a question that does not get asked, or answered enough. When anyone is first starting out, really in any endevour in life, it should be the first aspect that is looked at. Evaluating your strenghts and weaknesses should be a prority...but sadly, it isn't.

If more people started off by asking, and more importantly, answering that question HONESTLY, then their road would be much smoother.

Great Question

Thanks Ron for the comment. I do agree with you regarding the personal evaluation of our strengths and weakinesses. So many times people jump into MLM and are not emotionally equipped to deal with the industry, nor are they prepared for the challenges and change of mindset that it takes to make their business work. They certainly don't know or understand how to deal with people in general.

Personal growth is very important. There is an old saying that you have to work twice on yourself as you do on your business because people join people not companies. And if you can not attract prospects to you like a magnet, they will be the top income earner in someone elses downline.
