How NOT to Use Better Networker...
Ok, Guys....
So I know it's really exciting. We have a "new toy" to play with now that BetterNetworker.com is live and is replacing the revolutionary Magnetic Sponsoring Community.
Like anything else, there will be some growing pains. Especially with people who weren't around when the original MS Community launched. Back then was a very exciting time but there were a few humps we had to go over early in MS's launch, before many entrepreneurs in this industry used it to launch their very successful businesses out of... Raymond and I included.
A lot of the same things I saw then are happening now, and it's time to shake this place up and have that bad stuff fall out, and have the leaders in the community rise up and make this place great.
There is no reason why the newest person in this community can't use this as a launching pad for their networking business... it just has to be done right.
I'm gonna be very blunt here. The reason why Raymond and I are financially independent is as a result of us leveraging the Magnetic Sponsoring Community (now Better Networker). The veterans of this community like Susan Coils, David Schwind, Jim Yaghi, Shiraz Khan, among others, understand that the best way to use this community to grow a business, is by bringing REAL value to other community members.
This is an opportunity for you to develop YOU, Inc, and strut your stuff as a "value giving leadership machine". The people mentioned above have done that.
Some newbies on this site, seemed to have mistaken this community for an article directory. Sorry guys. This is the wrong place. This community is designed for you to give, not to take.
Re-purposing content (nice way of saying 'copying') from other websites is a HORRIBLE way of branding yourself on this community. It's a HORRIBLE way of marketing your opportunity. It's a HORRIBLE way of making friends on this site.
It's possibly the quickest way to get yourself BANNED from BetterNetworker.com
Your job as a business owner, is to attract people to you. In this environment, attraction occurs when you can significantly improve other people's lives, because then people will want to be around you so they can continue growing.
There's an article I wrote back when the MS Community had just started, about the blessings which literally fell into my lap as a result of doing my best to make others in this community better. Anyone who hasn't read it, should read it as a guide for how you should utilize BetterNetworker.com to grow your business. It's written from my own experience as to what works and doesn't work:
Are You Posting Crap on the Magnetic Sponsoring Community?
I also would recommend you join the Better Networker Results group, so you can receive regular updates on the best practices, updates and tips on maximizing your results in this community.
But I think the bottom line is, if you want to succeeed here, you need to take the eyes off yourself and do everything you can to serve others in this community.
I shake my head when I see someone who has a bunch of reward points for activity in this community, but only 6 connections in their network (friends list). All it means is that they have posted a bunch of articles, without any results. Most of these articles were works by someone else.
Don't re-purpose content. People want to know about YOU and how YOU can solve their problems. If YOU can help solve someone's problem, you'll have a new fan... possibly even a new distributor or customer.
Reposting an article by another marketer, does nothing for YOU, Inc. All it does is brand OTHER MARKETER, Inc. and it pisses off US, Inc. Then you'll be joining BANNED 4 LIFE, Inc.
This community is the greatest opportunity you will have to grow your business and it's absolutely FREE. It's the richest resource of network marketing leaders and knowledge you will ever find and it's completely FREE.
So let's make the most out of it.

Thank you. Excellent
Thank you. Excellent comments and instructions. No wonder you are where you are. Sizzle on. Kath
Great stuff
Right on Ferny! I've only been on the site a few days, and have seen some major infractions. Perhaps we could make it like hockey, and just put the hackers in the penalty box for a while?
But seriously....as much as I'm WANTING to put forth good content for everyone, I'm still new to all this stuff, and still have a lot to learn. I am sooooo far behind guys like you, Ray, Mike, Jim, etc in my knowledge. So, any suggestions as to how I can contribute will be appreciated.
Best,
Shecky
Mastermind...
That's why we are working with you and teaching you a bunch of cool stuff. So you have lots to share. And you'll haven't plenty to share after the weekend of Sept 6th... ;)
Its the Payoff
Good points. I enjoy your articles, always little nuggets of "I knew that" info in them that makes a lot of the dots connect together when you say them outloud and clearly state what the "dots" are.
I believe the heart of the problem lies in the very nature of this site's intention. People are looking at the payout - the "greed" factor of getting others to recognize them, to go to their sites, to add to their lists, to buy their products, etc, etc. The motivation behind the postings is what lends itself to countless "no bang for the buck" posts. You swim through a myriad of "just add yourself to my lists" articles No substance for others - no "Whats In It For Me" content. Just thinly veiled "spam list" generators.
I think sometimes, it is just best to state it in the most obvious way possible: "If you don't have something worth saying - then dont say anything". I believe your article has clearly defined what "worth" is in this context. And I have found many articles well worth their weight in gold on this site. Thanks to those of you that had something worth saying.
How Not to Use BN
Excellent article. Great instructions for the newbie and new networker joining BN. Thanks.
Lisa is a veteran too!
See what I get for being gone for a while. Ferny I’m crushed! LOL TEASING!
Yes, I 110% agree with your post here. I’ve started out day one launch of the authentic Magnetic Sponsoring and because of that and taking advantage of that opportunity based on the “basics” of Magnetic Sponsoring, I really started out strong.
I also remember when Ferny took off and gave credit to his success in part to Mike and his team.
I just wrote to Susan about this very subject as she reached out to our group too. Here’s what I said and I hope this sheds more light and makes others realize how much I back up betternetworker as well.
This is a gift to us and something that SHOULD NEVER be taken for granted or abused.
What I wrote to Susan – you can see the full version by clicking here.
-------------------------
I understand Susan
Sadly I’ve seen some of what you’re writing about. Yet is it our place to police this site? Please don’t take this the wrong way at all because it may not sound as bad as it might at first. Allow me to explain.
People like this are going to be here and there … With that said, we can work this to our advantage as well.
I’m not sure if you or I can help them. It’s ultimately up to them to leave the typical sales person junk at the door and to “learn” why betternetworker.com is in place.
Have they gone over the very basics? Magnetic Sponsoring course? Obviously not.
Can you make them do that? Nope.
Should you invest your energy into people who can’t even pick up the simple course Mike offers? I wouldn’t and I especially won’t reach out to them when they are being ignorant and too assuming.
I’m not a psychologist … I’m an Internet marketer with an entrepreneurial spirit.
The first thing I’d tell them if I were going to spend the time is “Go get the book that most of us have. It’s called Magnetic Sponsoring and after you read this, come back here and read what you’ve posted, you are going to be embarrassed about your behavior here.”
Now we can benefit because like you Susan, I’m serious about what I do and we are noticed for our value, not our sales pitch. I do it for free for the most part and the rewards are to see those “ah-ha” moments your downline or team member gets “after” they’ve implemented what they’ve learned.
My advice is to ignore it and let Mike and his team, deal with it. They are way beyond even responding to crap like this. They have better and more important things to focus on – as you do. They can “nuke” things like this with a click of a mouse. So as hard as it is sometimes to NOT post back to people like this, it’s much better for you and I to just go about our own business – to improve ourselves and feel remotely bad for a nanosecond for those who are really only embarrassing themselves.
I hope that helps and please don’t take this as I’m being harsh. Just honest with ya!

BN Guns...
I think what might happen soon is BN is going to give certain people "BN Guns and Badges" so you can arrest, ban or shoot the law breakers...
Ok, ok... It might be just a fantasy... but I can dream, can't I?
Seriously though, there are some systems which the MS team will incorporate, which will basically make the spammers irrelevant and reward quality content.
Stay tuned!
- Ferny
Looking forward
Sweet and looking forward to it! :)
Off topic Ferny, but are you familiar with Master Chung? If you are, PM me and let me know. I have a picture to share with you and I think you'll appreciate a short story.
Great Post Ferny
Thanks for the great info, I just joined so I need all the help I can get.I think I'll check out the site you mentioned. Thanks again
Respect
Mike has provided the whole Network Marketing industry an excelent place where we can network. We should all treat it with respect and abide by the courtisies associated with proffisional Marketers. We have to cull the bad apples before they spoil the barrel.
Adding quality content helps us all grow. I think thats what it is all about.
Elwood
Thanks For The Reminder
Mike et al. have created an awesome opportunity for all of us to network, share, and grow from our combined experience in various fields--from marketing to self-development.
Spammers will never get this. They operate from a totally different mindset, concerned only with "what's in it for me right now," unable to delay gratification, and to experience the true wealth and success that comes only with serving others.
That's too bad for them, because the fastest way to learn is to teach others. And the fastest path to success is to help others achieve success.
Ferny, thank you teaching.
-Jeremy
Most won't get this
Most are for their own needs and wants. Just look around and you will see this type of thinking everywhere. "What have YOU done for me lately".
Main reason there are so many divorces. It's always about ME and what I want.
Flip that and most people will be happily married and working a successful business.
Lawrence
New
Excellent article. Thanks for the useful information. I joined so that I can learn the best way to use Betternetworker. So far the only thing I am doing is posting articles when I can.
I feel there more to just posting articles. Betternetworker offers more options.
Once again thanks
Great article
I love this article because internet or network marketing is about providing solutions, and collection of relationship that will definitely leads to long time business partner or friendship. That's why I love network marketing because I love to help people and meet new people. Keep up the good work on educating people.
Approval...
My name is Jason Better and I approve this message....
Thanks For The Insite!
Thank You for this article as I could have made a big mistake had I not read it. I get it now and will better select what I post and what I don't. Thanks for keeping us here.
Great Stuff
Hi Fenny,
Thanks for the message but I honestly does not fully understand them all.
Yes I wrote a few articles but I have very few friends at BetterNetwork.com. How do I improve that stat? What are the ways of doing that?
One way I did and I will do more often is to participate in other people's forum.

how not to use...
I am a newbie. .I have purchased all Mike's products and apply all that I know how. I do have a couple of questions. Why are you so tuff on new people? Arn't they the ones you are teaching to have more people in your downline ,be a friend? I have some points but nowhere in here is there a place saying what to do with them. Tell me an example of spamming. I sure do not want to be guilty of it. mary bird marybird064@gmail.com
Tough Love...
Hi Mary,
Why am I so tuff on new people? Well, I'm tuff because I have to be. People need to have their cage rattled to wake up and admit to themselves what they are guilty of.
Many spammers are in denial that they are spammers, so you have to alert them to that first.
As for being someone's friend? I'm not your friend... not yet anyway. I'm a teacher, consultant, mentor, instructor, etc. whatever you'd like to call me. A friend will be the last thing i will be and it won't happen until you become a serious student of marketing and business.
I hang out and I'm cool with plenty of my clients and students... but not until they've proven themselves. Their priorities are results, then friendship.
You can read this for more info:
http://www.betternetworker.com/gurulevels
And of course, you can dig up any one of my articles and training on what exactly to do.
The purpose of this article was to wake a few folks up.

I was looking for someone like you
It is great to be part of all of this. A few months ago I came across magnetic sponsoring and since then I have learned a lot. Even though, I have been involved with MLM for over 20 years.
This community is invaluable to anyone serious about building a real business. It is articles such as this one that keeps it professional.
Tahnk you
Pat
Brilliant
This is a great article and makes all the sense in the world. The beauty of it is, its not rocket science, but it just takes a little tact and brain power to make it work for you. Right? I'm new to this site and to the network marketing gig, but as I feel I'm a fairly intelligent gal, I think there is no reason I can't work my way up the independently-wealthy-ladder too, eh??
Thank you for posting such wise and informative substance. I have valued the daily emails that will help me build a better "you" and hope I'll become a respectable "guru".
In kind regards,
Taryn Perry
Thanks Ferny
Thanks Ferny. I am NOT a network marketer by trade, so it was good to read "How NOT to use Better Networker." I learn a lot in life by finding out what others have discovered NOT to do. I consider them my "Botts' Dots" i.e. the rounded raised lane markers installed on roads that were named for their inventer. I believe Better Networker can be a great road to my success, but I do want to stay within the lines!
Thank you for your words of wisedom
Thank you Ferny,
Your words of wisedom swim deep. There's no better way then to tell it like it is. Your canditry is so refreshing. I so look forward to learning more here in Better networking. We learn so much from everyone around us.
Thank you,
Teresa Delvo
Right you are
Hey Ferny, How are you? This is great stuff man. I'm new to the network marketing community. I just ordered my copy of Mike Dillard's Magnetic Sponsoring today and I just joined BN about 5 minutes ago. I agree 100% percent with the idea that we need to have nothing but relevant and possitive content on this site so newbies like me arent reading any crap and not knowing the difference
Thanks

It's like a big playground for MLM business owners. I'm looking forward to learning from the best so I can contribute something worthwhile.

Rules for Newbies
Thanks, Ferny,
It always helps me to know the rules. In making friends, it takes some empathy, sometimes a lot of it. If we can just place ourselves in a friends shoes, we should see what they need the most. Sometimes it is tough love, which is found in Better Networkers. Sometimes it is direction. Always, it needs to help and boost that person ahead on their path of life.
America is a nation that cares. I found a group that cares. Whether I use that to its best advantage is up to me.
I just went through the material from Magnetic Sponsoring. To say I am a Newbie is overstating it. I have so much to learn. At times, it is overwhelming. The advise I have received from Mike, Ferny and others is helping me to focus on the first-things-first. All the articles I have read from Better Networker helped me find direction and purpose
Thanks to everyone who takes their time to share with us, their expertise and experiences.
