Many networkers will be looking for change right now, others may be looking in a few months or maybe years, then some may not be looking at all (just like any other prospects you may have pursued in the old way) and that’s ok. If you create a situation for yourself where you have thousands of people that you are providing value to then you will have people wanting to join you everyday.

Good article. I received a lot of useful info from Mike D before joining this group today. He drew me in over the course of several weeks with "news I could use".
Even though I was using my own version of Attraction Marketing with my last network marketing company, I had to leave before I could reap the benefits because my upline would not give me the time of day.
Being a former corporate recruiter I am totally aware that people are always looking for their next gig. Treat people right, become an expert in your field, stay in touch, and they'll come looking for you sooner or later.

The hard part is as you say, foregoing the Instant Gratification for the long term gratification, just as it is difficult to go from teenager to adult.
One strategy that I have found to be an effective, sophisticated way to let my prospects know what business I am in without appearing needy or pushy is to weave some positive aspect of my business into an otherwise neutral subject.
Example, we had a discussion on one of my conference calls going about the very high percentage of women in Network marketing, yet comparatively few were represented at the very highest levels. I begged to differ, announcing that a woman in my company, YTB Travel; just became a Level 7 Director which makes her probably the highest paid woman in network marketing and one of the highest paid of either sex. Her name is Julliet St John. Of course everyone wanted to know what her story was, how much she was making, etc. etc. So now, those who didn't know before, know now what company I am with.
