Lesson #5: Where the Rubber Meets the Road
In the previous lessons (Lessons 1-4) we've thoroughly discussed the importance of "Knowing Your Target Market" so you can use that information to attract the perfect prospect to your business.
Your next step is to set things up so it's functioning in reality.
We'll start by reviewing the 3 components you need in place to attract and pre-sell your prospects.
The 3 Components of Attraction Marketing...
Component # 1 – Set Up Your Point-of-Contact "Web of Content"
This is where the prospect finds you on the Internet from content you've created.
It's where you first start using what you know about your target market to set up 'bait' that they will like.
You don't need a web site for this (although you can choose to have one).
But there many locations to set up content without a cost or much hassle... there are many additional ways to set up content for a very low cost.
You can set up content within an hour or so, even if it's your very first day and you're totally a non-techie type.
Once you've done this a few times you can create new content that gets found all over the Internet very easily... setting up bait that your target market is interested in.
That's how you can create 5, 10 or even 30+ leads per day... coming in like clockwork.
Once you set up some content on the web, it's there forever... literally like bait for a fish.
There are so many options that newbies and non-techies can choose from to create content all over the Internet.
I show you some of these in the free Webinar at Step 3 in the University.
There is no longer any reason to be intimidated by the idea of creating something on the web because the Internet has changed to make it easy for everyone.
That's why the window of opportunity to get online and get in front of a massive wave of people is so extraordinary.
Most of our students knew NOTHING about it and are anything but 'techie types.' Now many of them have created content all over the web where prospects find them each day.
Our training is designed to take you mouse click by mouse click as you follow along visually with two windows open on your screen (we even show you how to do that if you're not sure how to have two windows open).
You set up your own content while you watch my mouse on the screen at the same time.
What do these Point-of-Contact locations look like exactly?
You'll find a free Webinar in Step 3 at the University called, "Become a Professional" showing you many of the actual locations where we teach you how to set up your own Point-of-Contact Marketing.
Once you start setting up your own content on the Internet prospects will begin to find it.
That's why I call it, "Point-of-Contact" because it's the first point in which the prospects begin to get to know about you and what you offer.
But it starts by giving them something without selling something. This relates back to what we covered in Lessons 1-4. We discuss this more in a bit.
First, let's cover the 2nd component that makes this all work.
Component # 2 – The Prospect Gives You Permission to Communicate.
After prospects find your 'stuff' on the Internet, they're led to your lead capture pages.
To keep things simple, most people start by using lead capture pages provided by a system like those we have given you. You CAN create your own lead capture pages if you want to (it's quite easy for non-techies to do this, but it's optional).
Prospects fill out your lead capture form and you have another prospect added to your list. This is more than just a typical lead because they already received value and started to get to know you from the Point-of-Contact marketing you set up.
Now, this is all great. But to fully capitalize on what just happened you have to understand the next step.
Your prospect just gave you permission to communicate with them. Now you want to communicate by continuing with the 'give before you receive' principle of providing more value so you can attract the prospect close to you and what you offer.
If you follow the 3rd piece to this puzzle (below) you'll be able to place your 'offers' in front of those prospects continuously and bring customers and new team members into your business in droves.
By the way, you may have made some money when your prospect is added to your list in step 2 above... (If your lead capture page is associated with an affiliate program like The Renegade, Magnetic Sponsoring, Marketing Merge or others). That's called monetization and if you haven't learned about it yet it's the subject of Lesson #6.
OK, so let's repeat the biggest points of Component #1 and # 2 Above...
Your prospect found you on the Internet. They were engaged and interested enough to click on and fill out your lead capture page. By this time there's a good chance they've seen your picture and name and feel they have received some value from you.
They are highly qualified as a prospect because they are interested in what is being discussed in your Point of Contact marketing and lead capture page. Everything is 'talking' to their needs. The pre-selling process has already started.
They filled out the lead capture page so they have given you permission to communicate with them, which gives you the chance to build a relationship much further and to sell to this person without ever 'chasing them.'
But it doesn't stop here (most people think it does and that's where they fall short). Step 3 is vital.
3. Offer Value and thus Gain the Privilege to Place your 'Offers' in Front of Your Prospects...
The key to attraction marketing is to provide ongoing value—
By providing ongoing value using auto-email (and emails you send manually) you gain permission to place 'your offers' in front of the prospect to buy from you, or to contact you with a sincere interest.
This is much like how advertising works on TV or radio.
They give you value and in return you let them place 'offers' in front of you.
Your offers can be your monetizing strategies (like something with an affiliate commission such as The Renegade e-book, Building on a Budget, Magnetic Sponsoring, or some other affiliate that works to attract leads while providing cash-flow).
Your offers are also your networking products and business.
You can invite prospects on your list to contact you about your opportunity.
Or, you can send emails that provoke your prospects to reveal to you their biggest challenges in succeeding in network marketing. Then, you can connect by phone with those that it is obvious will be open to you and an opportunity with an upline that meets their needs.
So those are the 3 steps.
In the Professional Training we provide, accessible by upgrading in Step 3, you're walked step by step through setting all of this up. Follow our mouse and trainings and you'll build a large following of people who are interested in your products, business and in you... because:
1. They came to you,
2. They gave you permission to communicate with them,
3. And, you gave them something before asking them to look at what you're selling.
It's pretty simple... and powerful...
Connecting the 3 components to your target market...
Let's run through the 3 components and relate it back to what we learned in Lessons 1-4.
The first component is setting up content on the Internet where your prospect first finds you.
What kind of content do you put out there?
Well, this all depends on who you want to attract.
So remembering back to the different examples we covered in Lesson 1-4 when we talked about "Knowing Your Target Market," we used target market examples for selling weight loss products and a network marketing opportunity.
Of course, everything we teach all applies to nearly any product or business—but those were the examples we used. I'm just going to pull one example out from those to illustrate how to set up the right bait to attract your prospects at point A—which was setting up your point of contact "web of content."
Let's use the example of: Those who purchased a network marketing opportunity before who already know they need one.
Do you recall some things that this particular target market is thinking about, concerned about or searching for? Do you recall their needs?
We have to start there before we can begin creating the right kind of 'bait' that will catch their attention.
So let's recap just some of the things we went over as far as what this target market is thinking about or needs, etc...
Here's the broad answer:
They are looking for, thinking about, and concerned about ALL TOPICS related to network marketing, particularly things that can help them succeed.
Some specific examples were:
- Related books
- Industry coaches
- Information on MLM companies
- Information on network marketing related systems
- Information on related network marketing topics (like "how to succeed in MLM," etc).
- Encouraging Stories or Tips
The list could go a mile long because it can be about any subject, book title, author, coach, or issue related whatsoever to network marketing (including personal development).
So this is the kind of stuff that should go into your Point of content marketing.
Your next step is to share or discuss something about any topic related to network marketing—that's the 'bait' and it's exactly what attracts your prospects to you initially.
Are you afraid you don't have anything to share?
Well, you're wrong. You're just over complicating it.
If you're first getting started you just want to create anything that comes to mind to begin. Over time you learn what types of things will attract more people. The first step is getting comfortable with setting some stuff up and getting out there on the web.
Here's just one example:
You could write a review on Renegade University and the type of things you've learned in "The 7 Lessons."
By the way, don't ever plagiarize... it doesn't look good in the eyes of your prospects. What you want to do is share your two-cents (your opinion) or review on something. It doesn't have to be genius... it just has to be sincere and genuine.
If you've received value from these "7 Lessons of Attraction Marketing" you should share that value with others.
What are you learning right now? Share it.
You'll be rewarded for that. That's how business works--give something and you get something back. The more you give the more you get.
All you want to do initially is get some bait out there – because I assure you the moment you do people will see it. That's progress.
From there you take what we teach you about how to link your content together, use key words correctly and all the details that significantly increase your exposure.
What else could you share?
Well...
What experiences do you have in network marketing with cold calling or contacting friends and family? Share those experiences and suggest a new way.
What experiences do you have in life that relate to network marketing—that could help others in their progress in business?
Have you ever read a book or attended training from an industry coach (or listened to a CD or training resource)? If so, you can give your review.
People will read it. And they are your target market (in this example). They will become interested in what else you do and offer.
You can also do video—it's not as scary as you may think.
The key to success is providing value in the marketplace.
We teach you the technical stuff, literally step by step and click by click... with non-techies first in our minds.
So that's how it works...
You want to genuinely draw upon your experiences and your own perspective on related topics—that's your bait. That's how your prospect first finds you. Keep it simple. Keep it real.
What if you don't like to write?
You can actually hire someone for $15 to write articles for you (it's easy to do—you'd be amazed at what's available out there on the Internet that makes it easy to operate your business like a true business system these days).
In the Professional Training we have a step by step tutorial showing you how to hire a writer.
But understand, you don't need to be a high level writer...you just need to be able to write at a 6-8th grade level. Throw out the essay perfect writing style you were taught and just write as you would talk to someone sitting across the table from you. That's the most effective in the Internet marketing world.
Writing isn't the only way do put 'bait' out there. As I've mentioned, video is another option (with you in or NOT in the picture).
There is another free Webinar you may want to watch in the University at Step 3 on both video and blogs to help you get clearer on how all this work in reality.
Anyone can do this stuff.
These are the kinds of things we teach you in the Professional Training area.
Join the Professional training at any time to start setting this all up in reality... Log into your Renegade University system at http://www.marketingmerge.com (upgrade at the bottom of Step 3).
Once you start building your content out there on the Internet, people start to find it.
Lead Capture Pages (Component #2) - How Your Target Market Fits In...
Now remember we want to have links to our lead capture pages sprinkled throughout our content. It can say something like, "Click to Learn How to Attract Your Prospects to You." Or, "Click for Internet Network Marketing training," or whatever. These are just examples.
Again, your can refer to the free Webinars in Step 3 to see how this all fits together.
Just remember though, that this works for any business or product and don't get too caught up in the specific examples I use in the Webinar (unless of course, they happen to pertain to the same target market you're after, like network marketers).
What is important is that your lead capture pages talk to YOUR target market.
If you're attracting network marketers we suggest you start by using our lead capture pages (and others provided by related systems like Magnetic Sponsoring or The Renegade) so you don't have to build your own.
But the time will come when you may want to have your own lead capture pages and they are easy to learn how to create... for now just understand that your lead capture pages obviously have to keep your target market in mind and speak to their needs.
There are several lead capture pages inside your University you can click on and look at. Notice how they talk to network marketer's needs to see what we mean. By the way, you can be using these lead capture pages to generate your own leads.
Component #3...
Once someone is on your list (Component #3) you keep following the same principles we have been discussing here. You offer value in the form of topics or subjects of interest in the emails.
So in our example of the target market, "People who have purchased a network marketing opportunity before who know they need one," we would share tips, reviews and information related to their interests.
This further builds the relationship. They may purchase affiliate products upon your recommendation (giving you cash flow while attracting these prospects to you). You have a lot of options and we cover this in our Professional training in the Email Marketing section. We show you how to set up your email campaign, click by click... including what to say.
The goal in this target market is to ultimately get them calling and emailing you first... by offering value they are becoming pre-sold on you. There are many ways to then invite them to contact you.
These are among the many things we teach you in the Professional training to the detail.
Regardless of whom your target market is... the training we take you through in the Professional training area helps you get all 3 Components of attraction marketing set up:
1. Point of contact 'web of content' where prospect first meets you on the web
2. Lead capture pages—how to link them into your content
3. Email Marketing—Providing ongoing value to pre-sell them on you and what you offer
