How to Tell Your NOT a Magnetic Networker...Yet

We all now that everyone has to start somewhere when it comes to learning how to network and market as a professional. But we many be missing the trees for the forrest if you buy into the idea of a huge learning curve of becoming a magnetic networker.

So how can you tell when your not being magnetic yet?

  • Low or no views of your content (ie. blogs, articles, forum posts, web pages)
  • Low or no feed back on your content
  • Low or no click through rate or your resource links in your content or signature file
  • No personal requests for help from other members of the community
  • Low or no content on the web
  • Low or no opt-in rate

In no particular order or course... If you answered YES to one or more of the above it either means one of three things.

One, you're new to the scene and thats a good thing! Look around at what cathes your attention and what gets the "click" from you. Study the layout and technique and emulate the process.

Test and improve as you learn more.

Two, you're not so new but you fit the things listed in Jim Yagis' post, 10 things I Hate About Crappy Network Marketers.

Or three, both one and two (ouch)! If you fit this discription you've got your work cut out for you. This means you are doing the same things that got you nowhere with in your business before like pitching your business and peddling your poducts to disintersted or unqualified prospects.

It's a sure fire recipe for frustration and disenchantment. But, there's help and that means there's hope.

I can't stress enough how important it is to give without want and by giving I don't mean giving someone a link to your homebiz.com site of giving an affiliate link. I mean really getting down into peoples desires, providing a safe enviornment for them to share them with you and you honoring that trust by giving them what they want based or their needs NOT yours!

Thats what the leadership here at better networker practice in everything your do, every piece of content, forum post.

Just look around... you'll see you can't even tell what company(ies) most leaders represent  unless you specifically ask. And even if you do... you better believe it's a different conversation than when someone asks an "un"-magnetic networker.

Even when you're new, you have value you can share some word of encouragement, answering another newbies question, even asking a good question and then passing on how you applied what you learned from the response is newsworthy... newbie or not.

If no one is connecting with you it's a clue your content is shallow and not adding value. Take time to develop you're skills through learning new things, organizing the information you just learned then teaching it as best as you can.

Show them how you applied what you learned and share the results... good and bad. You will be respected for telling people like it is, not just what you think they want to hear.

Soon, you will be a magnetic networker too.

Definitely Worth Noting

"Even when you're new, you have value you can share"

Amazing how many 'newbies' think they have nothing to offer. Hopefully, they'll think again after reading this.
