And don't be a hypocrite

Where most people go wrong is telling others what to do or how to be in order to be 'great' without considering what makes that paticular individual great in their own way. We all have to look at ourselves as wonderful and take the stand to ensure we don't repeat a horriffic past, and even more important we must take a stand to ensure we don't contribute to somone's horriffic present.

Great post and subject matter Juanita, from a (ethical) criticism standpoint it was blah and all over the place but definately a important subject matter that needs to be continually reinforced and provide solutions for those who don't know how to. I hope to see you around.

And on my end to ensure nobody ever repeats or continues to exist in a horrific present/past/future, I have created the Success Folder as a free online resource to everyone who can benifit from.

The best is yet to be

Good thoughts Juanita.  I take it you liked the movie "Pursuit of Happyness" eh?  Me too.

Hopefully with each experience and stage of our lives we learn and grow and from that growth create something new, better and worthwhile.

Oprah has dedicated her whole career to this message and she still goes back to it often.  Millions have benefited from your vision for herself and for others.

My sister & I were talking today about something that happened about 30 yrs ago and she said:  "Wish we were back there."  So we talked.  Really we dont want to be back THERE.  We just wish the years would not fly by so very quickly....we just want more and more ...

ANd they fly by faster and faster as we get older (& wiser).  but then later today I spoke to a woman in her 70's in a lot of pain who wished she'd never been born as she would not have had so much trouble.  So it takes all kinds.

Just praise the Lord that we on this website are of the very fortunate group that know & appreciate all that life has to offer and the power we have to make it what we want it to be.

If its to be, its up to ME!!  (With God's help of course).

Happy Easter/Passover everyone

Loved that Movie

I loved that movie too. It is very close to my own situtation. If I didn't have family it would have been my situation. But why is it that so many (98%) are willing to accept the mediocre or less? I work as a bartender part-time right now and I really dislike being there. Seeing so many people wasting their time and their lives and the complaining, oh the complaining. I just want to shake them, and say "get off your ass!"...but 98% won't. It's too bad, sad really. We could all be so much more.

So Sad

I've been having various simmilar experiences like that too on two seperate situations.

1 - As a transgender I had to go through the challenging emotional and physical and social drama on every level to achieve my own physical 'success' just to be female let alont Barbie, and what took 4 years of whining, complaining, waiting, hoping, praying, learning, planning, distrations, set backs etc when all was said and done only took 1 month of doing. In 8 months I had achieved my goal, and now in many people's eyes I am Barbie in terms of both looks and accomplishments. But when I look back at those individuals who are transgender like me where I was only 2 years ago struggling with the same problems I see people in such a horrible position I want to lift them out of it but I can't because THEY have to want to be lifted rather than -expect- to be lifted by force.

2. - The second instance is with what I've been learning in financial intelligence, financial development, personal development, social development professional development, emotional development etc I have reached a personal level much higher with confidence, integrity, independence, happiness etc. And when I see people posting around on online forums, childrens websites really and I see how frustrated they are in life I do my best to market the Success Folder I made to them as a resource to help them with everything but I feel bad because they have to make that change happen and it sucks feeling like that, to some degrees I still do.

It's so sad really, sometimes our brains are too intelligent for their own good.
