Important Article on the Future of Marketing Online

Here's an article I came across not too long ago on Mashable.com that makes some really great points on where the internet marketing and web 2.0 strategies is headed. In this article, titled What’s Next in Online Advertising?, Jackie Peters says this:

"...the Web is becoming more and more social. It’s been my experience that the brands, and people, who are most successful on the social Web are those who contribute. Communities on the social Web cannot be sold to, but that doesn’t mean they won’t embrace a brand. The social Web is about Community, Connections, Contributions and Conversations, not Convincing and Conversions..."

That to me is a very significant statement and really goes along with everything we've been saying about web 2.0 and using the internet to build your business.

It's all about building connections and branding yourself.

web 3.0 and the future of online marketing

Hi Ronnie and everyone reading this,

I think that the article is very interesting, although it focuses on the advances on web 2.0 and I think that it really should also consider the trend towards the web 3.0

Find > Follow > Share will, in my huble opinion, lead to a brave new marketing world, similar to that envisaged by a guy called Sean Roache, where he talks about the access and security levels of sharing information. I think his programme is called Get Access, or something like that. I read recently that he considers himself to be a pioneer in web 3.0, and I had a quick look at his sites.

I am now wondering if the rate of change on the internet will actually render many of the current methods of internet marketing obselete in a very short period of time.

Fingers crossed,  new methods will still allow quality mlm progammes some airtime in this overly populated information superhighway.

I would love to hear others' opinions in this forum.

Good Luck John

Wow, John, you just blew my mind. Web 3.0 is something I'm not familiar with. In fact, I admittedly am just getting the hang of Web 2.0! haha!
John, I thank you for bringing this to the table and if you're willing I would like to request that you write more on this subject.

Take care. Hope to hear more from you soon.

It's great to see and meet people who really USE their BRAINS to make everything great out of it.. For themselves as well as for others :-)
