The first time I got in to the mlm industry I remember hearing people in my mlm company telling things like "this really isnt sales we just share product with people" or "everyone is your prospect". That I had to make a memory jogger list of everybody that I knew that could breathe. But it took me 12 months to realize that that wasn’t true. If that would have been true then why don’t we get business opportunity invitations from the big franchise companies? I don’t ever recall getting anything in the mail from one of the famous hamburger franchises to see if I want to start one. So why do some people keep telling their prospects that or their new downline members that everyone is your prospect to go and present the opportunity to anyone with a pulse.
By now you may be asking yourself so how and who should I target for my business opportunity? Franchises companies target other business people that already own franchises; people that are looking to expand their business portfolio. People that already are in business; there is no need to convince them on how great is having a business and the benefits of having one.
These people are the easiest people to present an opportunity to. They are open minded about new adventure, challenges and opportunities to keep being successful. You see with these there is no difference in the mlm industry. Your target market should always be people that already own a business and they are looking for a possible new opportunity. These people are pre sold on the concept this will make mlm sponsoring easier when it’s done in the proper and most efficient way, of course. So the answer to the question “Is Everyone Your Prospect” NO!

Do you know that this book was the reason I didn't quit my business? It was the first thing I read that made me start hoping once again that I had not made a huge mistake by getting involved with this industry. You see, I struggled for 2 and 1/2 years trying to make my business grow.

Its true. The day people realize that their biggest prospects arent really prospects at all, is the day they realize that just the people in their immediate circle of friends arent going to make them wealthy.
Its the reason most people fail.
Im an entreprenuer, I wouldnt do real estate investments with my next door kindergarden teacher.
I wouldnt market diamonds and jewelry to a my cousin in High School. Its a relative in MLM.
I truly belive all business is network marketing though, and true passive results come from many people all deriving from one's effective marketing and efforts.

Daniella let me tell you sometimes I look and remember back in those days and I either get embarrass or laugh at myself. But is being a long run since then and I had learned from what works and what doesn't work and that's what had made a difference in my business. I wish I can go back and tell myself a few tips and some do's and don'ts.
