Is Network Marketing Some Kind of Pyramid Scheme?
It's a classic question and I can't believe some network marketers still get asked this after all this industry has been through.
In a landmark court case in the late 1980's a network marketing company who's name I won't mention was legitimized by the law of the land.
Last year Warren Buffet bought two network marketing companies. Both Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki recommend networking marketing as a great way for someone to get started in their own business.
After all, where else can you start a business for a few hundred bucks? It costs a million now to open up a Subway sandwich shop, and it could still fail miserably.
Network marketing is simply an affordable franchise system, but because so many people fail at it from being taught the wrong way to build it, some people still ask if it's a pyramid scheme.
Here is why people ask that stupid question...
They want to legitimize YOU as a business person. They want to disarm you and see you launch into this huge defense of the industry.
I haven't been asked this question myself for a few years now, but here is what I would say to anyone who asks that of me or anyone on my team.
No, it's not a pyramid scheme, pyramids are in Egypt and they are also on the one dollar bill.
It's really an opportunity to change your life just as I have changed mine. If you happen to be fortunate enough to qualify and be chosen to work with our team of highly successful entrepreneurs, it will change your life.
All you have to do is review the information and let us know why you think you might be a good fit for our team. Then we will let you know if we think you're a good fit.
You see, we don't just let anyone with a credit card join our business because if we don't think you're the type of person that can be successful, then it wouldn't be fair to you to let you join and fail.
Does that make sense?
So I hope that one asks you that question, but if they do then now you'll know why they asked it and what to say when they do.
It's about positioning yourself as a leader and having the mindset of a successful business person.
You don't need anyone to join your business, they need you to set them free from the dilbert cube.

Another great job
I used to get asked that question a lot 16 years ago but today I don't here it much. Now I hope everybody asks me as I will know exactly what to say back to them. Thanks Tim
