Just my 2cents as a webmaster and graphic artist of 16+ years....
I signed on for SBI last fall and honestly I found the system very tedious and cumbersome. The learning curve was a little overwhelming even for me, to get the system to do what I wanted it to do.
When I look at tools for myself and my team, one of the major factors I consider is speed of implementation. SBI simply did not meet that requirement. After almost 2 weeks I still couldn't get past the "proprietary" processes in the system. Customization was pretty limited and the templates looked cheap. Even "fully customized"featured sites or ones that I found on my own, were sub par from a design stand point in my opinion and had a late 90's feel to them.
I will say that I liked all of the training modules that were included in the system. There is a lot of useful information on marketing and seo principles in the back office.
My preference however is Wordpress.
I can launch a brand new website, including the registration of a new domain name in as little as 20 minutes; and within a week or two going all out with graphics, copywriting and basic seo. By overcoming that major technical hurdle that most people hit when they first enter the online arena, with a simple system to get a website up quickly, saves a tremendous amount of technical training time that can now be redirected towards actual marketing lessons including solid SEO techniques and teaching them success principles.
Overall, I think simplifying the process of creating a website and increasing the speed at which a new person can get online and have their marketing collateral "working for them" as quickly as possible, instead of "working on their marketing" will add tremendous value and create a more positive experience for new people.
