Is There Still Such a Thing as Free Traffic?

Yes!

Yesterday, I got yet another email singing the praises of yet another membership website, "An unrivaled all in one tool that instantly automates your income!" It went on claiming that this FREE (yes, I said FREE) site would protect my commissions, help me to build mailing lists and best of all - allow me to market my website to thousands of people without spending a cent.

My interest was piqued. What can I say? Like most Internet Marketers, I am looking to reach as many people as possible for the least amount of money. I figured I would take 5 or 10 minutes out of my day to check it out promising myself that I would NOT upgrade to a paying membership no matter how good it looked!

The website is Viral URL, http://ViralURL.com/slmac  and I was quite impressed. I will give you a run down of some of the things they offer with a free membership.

First, you build a "list" simply by recruiting other people to join who then become your "downline". When they, in turn, recruit other members, your downline builds exponentially.  The best part is that you have the ability to email (within the ViralURL system) all of the people in the first five levels of your downline every 7 days - email marketing at it's finest!

Obviously, if you take the time to recruit a few people who in turn do the same thing, you are creating a list of people who you have the ability to email market once a week. These are people who are actually interested in Internet Marketing and they are your captive audience! Since we all know how much work is involved in creating a list, the benefit of this feature alone is amazing.

Second, you have the ability to create Viralbar ads and banners that thousands of other members will have the opportunity to view. Because I am a firm believer that Internet marketing is a numbers game, any time I have the chance to expose my opportunity to other viewers for FREE, I am usually going to jump on it. This is one of those opportunities.

Third, the free membership allows you to cloak an unlimited number of URLS. If any of you are doing affiliate programs such as ClickBank, you know that your URLs can get VERY lengthy and cumbersome. When you cloak a URL, you can turn something like http://website.com/longfoldername/longpagename.html  to http://viralurl.com/slmac/Best-Website

Cloaking also allows you to protect your Affiliate ID information since it is removed during the cloaking process and replaced with the words of your choosing.  Unfortunately, in this day and age, it has become important to protect your Affiliate ID information to prevent unscrupulous people from getting access to your affiliate commissions. 

Now that I have shared a few of the benefits of the free membership with you, I do have a confession to make. Despite my commitment not to upgrade to a paying membership, I couldn't resist! What got me was the fact that an upgrade would give me the ability for me to email 3000 random members every three days. Now if you already have a list of 3000 people that you can market to whenever you take 15 minutes to write an email, then you won't find this so compelling. I am not so lucky so I found this completely irresistible.

Is it working yet?

Well, I wrote my first email last night and put it in the queue and was informed it would be about 9 hours or so before it would get sent out. When I woke up this morning, it had not even finished sending and I already had 3 callback requests in my inbox. Not bad!
