Is Your MLM Upline A Real Leader Or A Fake? Today is a big day for me. I just received an email from an ex upline mentor that I worked with a while back. Before we get into what he wrote to me, I want to share a few things here with you. Many great people are failing in network marketing because of the lack of upline support or they have an upline and they just don't take the time to recognize many of their downline or train them.
Many of the concepts of building a mlm business that upline's teach just don't work for everyone and theirs nothing wrong with that. So many distributors go off on their own to learn what will work for them. As they should. Sound familiar? So what happens? The people in their downline start to quit and find another company to work with. Myself included. However I learned a lot from my ex mlm upline sponsor. We got a long very well. We even did company training calls together. It was a lot of fun.
Many network marketers realize that their comes a time when what is being taught to them by upline leaders just isn't a good fit for them. This is no secret! This is what happen to me. So I decided to stop building my business after a while in mlm and go out on my own and do some research on more effective ways to build a network marketing business. This is when I learned how to do some marketing, traffic and lead generation. I also learned the concept of funded proposals.
I started to see success when I decided to combine all that I learned. However it took me to be a leader and make it happen for myself. Of course in the process my ex mlm upline and I stopped working together. MLM upline leaders also teach self improvement, how to think positive, read books and listen to self-help tapes that teach how to live an abundant lifestyle without focusing on the problems of life and focus on success. I agree with all this. It's an important part of being a successful business owner. I learned these seem concepts from my ex upline along with other leaders in the self help field. I think you would agree.
When you start to become a success people will make the attempt to cut you down and rip you apart. This is actually a good thing because this means people are starting to recognize you and they have nothing else to do but bring someone else down. I expect this from curtain people in network marketing. But today is a big day for me. Why? After a year or so, the last person I would expect to lash out at me making the attempt to cut me down was my EX Upline that I though was a great successful guy.
I have to say it kinda hurt inside to get an email from this successful leader cutting me down. I'm sure my leaders out their would feel the same way. All I do is my best to help other home business professionals when it comes to traffic and lead generation for their network marketing business. This happens a lot to many leaders in network marketing. Just another testament why people quit and go to another company. So you got to ask yourself, although your upline my be successful, do they actually lead by example?
Below is the email I got from my ex mlm upline leader. Be careful reading it. It's not that nice. Think about how you would feel if anyone let alone your upline or ex upline sent you the email below. (The Comaz Are My Thoughts) What do you think?

You are the biggest liar I've ever met in our Industry. You recruited 155 people into your primary business?
What B.S. (He actually wrote it out and I did!)
You and I both know that you refer to (Company Name) when
you tell people this in your story. You and I both know that you are full of crap. Pretty
soon, everyone else will too. ( Wow, I Never Said That.)
It doesn't surprise me that you never got back to me
all this time in fear that I'd find out all the crap you speak
about me in your blogs and on calls and expose who
you really are after you have lied to an entire industry
about your so called "success". ( Keep In Mind I Don't Talk About My Ex Mlm Upline On My Blog Just Whats Being Taught In Network Marketing).
Still working out of your bedroom Joe? LOL! ( Boy That One Hurt!)
And, you think you are better than me at prospecting!
What a joke you are; seriously. (I Guess He Must Think So!)
Without me, you'd still be picking up people's trash. ( Making Fun of My Job? What's That Mean?)
This email requires no response, as anything you say, is
a flat out lie and you are a fake and anyone who works
with you, will figure it out. ( Their Are Many Leaders I Teach That Love What I Do!)
Whether you reply or not, I could care less. I just thought
you should know that you are about to get exposed to
our industry in a way that will show everyone exactly
who you are and what a liar you are. ( I hope So! The Truth Will Come Out Then.)

This is exactly why It's important to become your own leader and do what is neccessary to succeed. Make decisions for your business that will be most effective. Don't rely on any one else. Because you never know who they really turn out to be.

Hey Joe,
Last night I had the pleasure of listening to you talk about phone prospecting again. Having been on your live prospecting calls, and also Ferny's call last night, I have to say that I think you're the real deal, regardless of what your ex-upline says. The tips you gave out last night were amazing. I especially like the part about talking to "prospects" versus "suspects."

Let it All Hang Out
Joe, what you've done takes a lot of guts. To take something that I *know* must have hurt and to put it on display for all to see says something about you. It says that you are not afraid of what one person thinks, and that you know better. It also says that you are willing to flaunt your (supposed) weakness, which is the sign of true strength. Keep it positive and keep up the great prospecting!

I don't even know why people even bother taking the time to write those types of emails. And I agree with Ferny... a person with integrity would have called to clear the animosity. Gutsy article!
jus got started
I just jonined this board and already there is all this dirty laundry being aired. If the guy is a fake, so be it. If the Joe guy hasn't signed up all he says, so be it. There are a lot of poeple who make videos and write articles who hasnt done what they tell everyone. Sounds like Joe is no diferent. These peole are a dime a dozen. Just make sure you know real ersults of those who you listen to. Just because someone can regurgitate information they learned from othes, that doesn't mean that they have had real resulots. I did that once, I was learning form a lady who barley build a downline and she was telling everone that she was so successful but never did build a successful business, yet the only pepople who knew at first was her upline. Maybe the upline here ahas a point. All I ahve to say is that this community is awesome! thanks for sharing it with me. Steve Anderson
that's ridiculous but it's an example of the closed mindedness we have in our industry and brutal competitiveness from upline with their downline. i think most of the successful people who turned their businesses around using alternative methods to their uplines copped the jealousy too.

upline/downline competition
I have been working MLM for only 3 months now.
There is a comment here by Jim Yaghi, which I find very interesting.
Because: I am starting to notice it myself.
A competitiveness between upline and downline.
Which I don't understand. It's irrational.
Can someone explain to me why that is? After all, we are making them money if we succeed, right?
Yet I have noticed some lack of support that almost seems like it goes beyond laziness. Not that I could tell for sure, of course. Maybe he is just confused after all.
But if there is a reason for that, I'd love to learn about it.

If this is the same Joe Lobalsamo, it's true about him
I was in a company with this guy Joe 4 - 5 yrs ago and know that he left because he had no success there and left for a different one with a new product a few years ago and had no success there either and then he goes online and set up a site and bloks and tells everyone how great he is and that he recruits all these people and how successful he is. My upline in australia told me about him and that he was lieing trough his teeth becasue he couldn't make it in his business, now he poses as a teacher and sells information online but has never done what he preaches exept prospect but never built a residual income. My upline told me once at a convention that pepole who can't do, teach. Sounds like o'le Joe is up to his same tricks again. Sad part is people who dont no him thinks he is great but those who no him, no that he fakes his success.

Hmmm... Mr. Reedner joins the community today, provides no details as to who he is and bashes Joe (using poor grammar)...
There are plenty of negative websites out there bashing companies, leaders and tabloid type blogs for people who speculate.
We don't need this here. If you want to bash, go to those other sites. If you want to add value to people, and help people grow their businesses, stay here.

If you are posting negative comments about people, all you are doing is hurting your reputation as a leader. True leaders feel no need to tear anyone down. True leaders aren't threatened by the success of others.
I started my system out of my frustration with what was currently being taught by the leaders in my company. But do I hold any animosity towards them? Of course not. They are good people who are doing their best, but for whatever reason haven't caught on to modern techniques.
I would never resort to bashing someone for failing in network marketing, because 99.999999% of people in this industry must failr miserably before finding success.
It's like the pot calling the kettle black.

Continue to work on becoming great leaders and assist others any way you can. We all have value to offer each other. Success isn't just about money. Success is the ability to improve others lives anyway we can by coming from a place of contribution.
Don't get caught up in the negative politics network marketing can create. Just focus on increasing the value in yourself. Make yourself become the leader. If situations aren't going the way you plan, then go out and learn what you have to for your situation to improve.
If a mentor, upline or coach is assisting you in becoming better and your seeing no results, then be the leader you are and find what does work for you. This is your main objective. Don't feel you owe anyone your commitment because they are assisting or have assisted you in the past.
The only one you are committed to is yourself and no one else. Again I wish all of you a happy and blessed holiday weekend. Keep reaching for the stars and when you get their reach further.
